Can we ban this jackass? I got contacted by him because I'm looking for a harness and there's nothing that popped up when I did the search warning that he was a scammer. I wanted to go through PayPal, he sent me a venmo request and sent me a bs page saying it was just as safe as PayPal. I felt since venmo is owned by PayPal they'd help, but no. This is a warning not just about this scammer, but also about venmo which is almost set up to be a perfect scammer tool. They do offer purchase protection, but you have to do a lot of reading to understand that it's not purchase protection between individuals, only from their approved businesses. I was excited about getting the part I wanted and should have stood my ground when I said I'd pay through PayPal and pay the fees. I just saw that venmo is owned by PayPal and purchase protection and thought I was safe.

I understand that now. I was excited about getting the part and honestly saw it was owned by PayPal and they have a purchase protection and thought great. I didn't read I had to purchase from one of the businesses they approved to receive purchase protection.
There was a guy who posted his cell number on other people's post when they were looking for a LS6 intake. I responded and the price was reasonable but first he wanted to use Zelle which I had never heard of then wanted to use CashApp. When I put his name into CashApp it popped up a warning about not doing business with him. Asked him why he wouldn't do PayPal and he said they were holding funds from him. I wonder why... I ended up backing out of the transaction. Just looked at his profile and saw almost all his replies/posts (6 total) are saying he has something and to text him followed by a phone number. Maybe he's legit but I got bad vibe of him and so did the other person in one of the threads he hit us up on.
Seems like a lot of scammers are jumping on the for sale forums pretty heavily in the past few years.
