BUILT TO LAST These pistons are manufactured from 2618 T-61 alloy and utilize an “X” forging for added structural support, strength and durability. CP Piston’s LS7 FT pistons include all of the company’s engineering enhancements, including lateral gas ports, the “CP” groove, contact reduction grooves, accumulator groove, and double force-fed pin oilers with reservoir groove.

DROP IN READY The Valve Relief (VR) cutters on CP Piston’s LS7 are radiused, so the piston is ready to drop in to an engine, and should improve horsepower out of the box.

TECHNICAL ELEMENTS CP’s FT LS7 pistons are available in 4.1275” and 4.130” bore, which should yield approximately an 11:1 compression ratio using a stock set up. These pistons are made for use with the stock Titanium 6.066” rods with the small end narrowed to .950” for optimum pin engagement. CP has manufactured these pistons for use with the standard .927” wrist pin, which will require a slight honing of the bushing. CP supplies .927” x 2.250” chamfered pins and wire locks with its LS7 FT pistons at no additional charge.

RESEARCHED RING PACKS CP Pistons offers 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0mm ring packs for its LS7 FT pistons that are sold separately. The top ring is a 1.2mm unit made from steel gas nitride, and the second ring is a cast 1.2mm Tapered Hook Groove (THG) ring. Oil Rings consist of non-chrome rails and a 2.0mm oil ring utilizes flex vent oils for better drain back.
