LONG VERSION:
I bought this truck with 233k on it from a gentleman in Kentucky to build a really nice turbo 4WD street/drag truck a couple of years ago. I drove 4.5 hours to get it because it had no rust and was a 2006 V8 4x4 RCSB with almost every option, including steering wheel controls and floor shift 4WD. I specifically wanted an 06-07 truck because they have gen 4 rods and pistons along with the HD hood and grill. To top it off this one was a 5.3L, the cab was repainted and the bed was swapped from a Quadrasteer GMC. It's 5" wider overall, and has composite bedsides so it will never rust over the wheel well. It also had new aftermarket LED lights all the way around, tinted sliding rear window, and 18" NNBS Silverado wheels with fresh tires.
Over the past couple of years I have fixed and upgraded a few things: door panels were sound deadened, it has a new gauge cluster with the trans temp gauge, new window switches and bezels, new steering wheel switches and door speakers. Truck is lowered 4" in the rear via deleting factory lift blocks and installing Belltech drop shackles. Also has Belltech shock relocation brackets to maintain proper shock geometry and new AC Delco shocks. The front is lowered 2" via McGaughey torsion keys. Stock parts are included so you can revert it back factory ride height if wanted.
It's also just had the top end completely rebuilt. The heads were sent to a machine shop and have a fresh valve job, new valve seals, .600 lift PAC-1218 beehive valve springs, and were decked .004". New lifters were installed, along with all new gaskets from the head gasket up. New knock sensors and harness, plug wires, water pump, both belt tensioners, the idler pulley, and both belts. All AC Delco/GM parts. Coolant was flushed and refilled, and oil was changed with full synthetic high mileage Mobil 1 and a Wix filter.
This truck is a very hard to find combo. Even without the extra wide bed, 4x4 V8 RCSB trucks are rare. Even more so with all the power options, floor shift 4WD, steering wheel controls, and NO RUST, especially here in MO. This one is well-sorted and needs nothing, you could daily drive it or build it.
I have a brand new Huron Speed T4 turbo kit available for additional cost. I also have a new Richard Holdener Low Buck Truck cam and a used 4L80E 4WD transmission that could be negotiated into the deal.
Flaws: there is a scuff on the passenger side lower part of the bed, small holes drilled through the wheel wells on both sides of the bed, a couple of paint chips on the driver's side of the bed, a couple of rock chips in the windshield but no cracks. Also a small rub mark on the passenger side front bumper, a couple of spots on the dash where the paint is rubbed off, and small tears on the driver's door panel near the lock. See pics below.
