Gary,
Just saw your conversation with Joop.
Read that your family is from Toppenhuzen. I am from Twellegea (by Toppenhuzen you probably know.)
Interesting to run into someone from the same area of the world !
Not sure. You might look in the transmission and/or driveline forum; not sure what it's really called. There is one here, though.
And Greetings to you!
Gary,
I got an answer to the question about the guy, Atze Atsma, that I know and he has no relatives in the U.S. So that's out of the way.
Maybe better to ask here, is there a forum specialized in the 6L80 trans?
I do have relatives in Friesland named Atze Atsma but not sure if any are in the Royal Dutch Airforce. Our family comes from Oppenhuizen (Toppenhuzen in Friesian) near Sneek. There are some Atsmas not closely related to me, so the one you know might be related. Ask which city or village he is from. That might help! Thank you for contacting me! Let know what happens!
a Dutch name and not even a very common Dutch name too.
I happen to know a guy in the Netherlands called Atze Atsma. He was a pilot in the Royal Dutch Airforce, flying the F-104G Starfighter and the F-16. I happened to be a crewchief and Flightchief in the RNLAF and recently retired.
Is Atze a relative maybe??
