Hey Trevor, I am new to the ls world and was needing some help. I currently have a lq4 looking to do a rotating assembly for a 408. The bolt on parts that I was going with before the 408 is ls6 intake, heads, headers, y-pipe, under drive pulley, borla exhaust, cam, and 4l80e Trans with shift kit. I want a strong daily driver. I need your help and opinion on this build but especially finding a rotating assembly for the 408. Thank you in advance. Car is a 2001 TA.

For the longest time I was set on the 1 7/8" but Gary and John both think that the 1 3/4 are the way for me to go. Every sunny day that I have an opportunity it will be a driver... It will be a car that I can drive from coast to coast and to the grocery store. So almost a daily driver. Anything that you think of with good supporting reasons that I need to go with the 1 7/8" or are the 1 3/4" perfect for me?????? Thank you for your help and cant wait to continue doing business with TSP

    Hi Trevor,
Ive talked to Gary and John over there at TX Speed and I have an order of about $3k that I am going to be placing this week. I was wondering if there were any discount or coupon codes?

Also a tech question... Im going with the TSP long tubes and the ORY pipe. Im very torn about going with the 1 7/8" or the 1 3/4" headers. There is a $130 difference and Im just a stock cube LS1 with ls6 intake and ported TB, LPE CNC'd heads that flow really good numbers and im going with the torquer V3 cam. These are the only upgrades I will be doing so in the future it will never be Forced Induction. It will never see nitrous. It will never be bored over etc. Both Gary and John were very quick to answer to tell me to go with the 1 3/4" and said if anything at all I may see a couple HP gain with the 1 7/8" which I would never feel in the seat of my pants anyways and a couple horse isnt worth $130 to me.

    Question for you.

I need to pick out the best engine to add to my 73 corvette. What would be the best platform to purchase? ls1,ls2, ls3?

I want to know what kind of hp I can get by porting out the heads and adding a strong cam with decent street numbers. I think I heard that the theres a great set of stock heads that can be ported out to flow like the best aftermarket heads, were they l98?

Maybe we could come up with a solution using your services.

I might add a magnussan charger later on to the setup.

Can a ported and upgraded cam ls based engine make 500rw comfortably?

    Regards,

    Steve
