Who's ready for spring?

NHRA starts this weekend !!!! Drag racing in the air!

I'm ready for spring. Nothing like geting the car to the track for the first time smelling the burnt rubber.

LtTransAm91 Feb 6, 2009 11:15 PM

Well it was upper 40s today and i started the car for the first time in awhile and now that i heard her run i was to get out and cruise around.

I do like winter, but I'm sick of the cold, sloppy roads, dirty car. Sick of coming out to my car looking like my sig. I want a clean ride with the tops off and windows down again!

Wish I was ready. Still got a lot of fab work to do on my turbo setup, but it would be nice to be back out the track again.

ibanez7 Feb 7, 2009 12:14 PM

nope not ready yet!!!!

still have to install some mods on the car!!! which I still have not bought. lol

the camaro has been garaged since october, I start her and let run for about 20 mins every week. She starts perfect, run perfect and sounds so good, its tempting to drive her but she will not see the roads until april. Need all of the snow and salt washed away first, and the roads need to be dry! then let the racing violence begin!

Why!? :P

Winter blows. My '02 Z looks like shit, needs about 500 hours of cleaning to wash the winter road grime away.

Can't wait to get the Nova out, but I need to fix the trans leak and some other minor stuff before I do much driving with it.

Going to look at another Camaro today. Not like I have any space to put it, but who cares. :)

Almost, just finishing up my 4500 throttle body install then I need to get it over to Speed Inc. for the touch up tune i've been talking about for like a year :D, made 518rwhp before, interested in what I can pick up with porting my intake to my heads and adding the TB

I have some other mods to do to the car before racing season is in full swing but some suspension parts and spray wont be that hard to hook up. Just need to wait until this semester is over with.

I agree with you 10000%. Except i do not start my car.

I cannot wait for spring, i have some go fast parts that i need to install, then it goes to StraightLine to get a touch up on the tune for what i will be installing :)

Mine will be going to straightline as well. Mike is a great tuner and I would recommend him to anyone.

LT1Formula007 Feb 8, 2009 01:37 AM

I can't wait either.
I finally got almost everything I needed for the Z and now I just have to finish putting it all together.
ALL I need to finish the car (before spring) is the FAST 92/92, OD Alt. Pulley, Trans. Cooler and temp gauge, and all the fluids. Oh and a TUNE! :)
I'm waiting on my Stall, should be here VERY Soon!... (Thanks Speed Inc.)
I'm still amazed how fast the car is coming together.
Good Luck everyone with your builds...

Come On Spring!

I getting all my stuff together to make it more streetable. Putting smaller injectors in and going to one fuel pump. Looking for a big amp and some 14" subs.

1989k1500 Feb 8, 2009 06:28 PM

Drove my truck around for about 15 minutes today for the first time since November. Roads are bare here and its like 45 so I figured Id take it out for a few minutes. :D

RippinZ121 Feb 9, 2009 05:20 PM

I was going through withdrawls so I decided to take the car out sat...even got my first kill of '09 within 10 min! Now I wanna go out again lol. Spring cant come soon enough!

BAAD LS2 Feb 10, 2009 10:28 AM

Can't wait for spring. I'm going through major speed withdrawals. Still gotta get the cam in and tuned and still gotta buy an udp and a set of drag bags. Once I get all that installed and a few things removed for weight, I'll be ready to rock.
