M16Productions Poker Run - St. Louis, MO - October 8th, 2011

Hey everyone. M16Productions is holding a Fall 'Poker Run' on October 8th starting in Sunset Hills, Missouri at Minnie Ha Ha Park: Old Gravois Road, Sunset Hills, MO 63127. Cars should start arriving at 9:30am, with a driver's meeting at 9:45am, and then leaving after that. The Run is set up less like a Poker Run (where you stop and BS over half price appetizers for a good cause) and more like a Bull Run type rally (you get directions to the first stop, and once you get there, you get directions to the next stop), except that with the directions at each checkpoint, you also get to randomly pick a playing card at each stop. The team with the best 5 card poker hand by the end of the rally wins. It's roughly 100 miles in all, and has a suggested completion time of around 2 and 1/2 hours according to Google Maps. I imagine it'll take less time than that and everyone should be back by about noon. Entry is $25 for preregistrations until September 24th (open for PayPal and cards at www.M16Productions.com/Events ) and $30 after the 24th. Registration includes entry into the event for one vehicle, a shirt for the driver of each vehicle, and lunch for everyone afterwards. It's suggested that you bring some sort of GPS device for finding directions from stop to stop, and working in teams is encouraged. It's not a "race", since finishing first doesn't do anything but serve as a tiebreaker between matching poker hands. This event was planned with the purpose of adding a unique event to the St. Louis auto scene, and to get some good video and photos of cars out on the street. Sports/show/luxury vehicles encouraged. Contact info@M16Productions.com with any questions, or feel free to email me personally at josh@M16Productions.com Space is limited to 40 vehicles, but worst case scenario, we could possibly make room for 50 if demand requires it. It's also a rain or shine event.

The automotive community is the main reason M16Productions exists. We don't turn a profit from events like this and this isn't to raise money for the business. Much to the contrary, all planning, supplies, etc is paid for out of pocket and we're lucky if we can break even. We just like to provide open forums for car guys/girls to hang out, enjoy their vehicles, and just get to know one another. We would love to see a strong LSx presence there!
