Default Can anyone tell me what motor this is?

Took a pic of this a few months back in an ol 60's chevy truck. I think its a diesel but im clueless never seen anything like it.

Thanks! I doubt I ever woulda figured that out. But wow people want some serious money for one of them. Couldn't find a full motor for under 4k. I could put a serious ls in there for that.

you used to be able to buy bread trucks and they would have 4bt in them, but yes those guys are nutty on pricing, but for good reason. I think it's like a 1 wire connection total to get them to run. Great fuel economy and you can turn them up to make decent power. Same with the original 6bt engines.

Im curious, what's a 4bt, or 6bt? Little more info. Who makes the engine. I was thinking a small CAT!

6bt is the 5.9 inline 6 Cummins motor. The 4bt is the basically the same motor less 2 cyl. As stated before great little motors. Good mileage and can make good power.
