I actually don't even like the lot at MP, too many trees and not enough parking, but I know so many of the regulars there that I have a great time whether I bring a car or not.
haha, i hear you about the trees. I HATE tree sap and if you park anywhere near those trees in that lot you get showered in sap and little leaves, plus those spots are all meant to pull in not back in toward the end of the lot and people always try to back in screwing everything up..I just go straight to the end of the lot whenever we go there now and pull in..makes it easier to leave that way.

Unfortunately, I'm all too familiar with the sap issue. That's one of the main reasons why I rarely bring the '71 or '98 there, I usually show up when parking is tight and can't get my pick of spots. Past experience has taught me how bad it can be under those trees, especially in late spring/early summer, I won't make that mistake again. I didn't care so much when I had the '02, that car was more of a "driver" so cleaning off sap wasn't a huge concern. Such is not the case for my other two. I really need a car to fill that void again, hopefully I'll be accomplishing that by next summer.

Hell my car is more of driver quality than show car but even still i hate sap, especially with black, if you wipe it down after a drive the sap smears..i avoid trees at all costs when parking but even just driving down side streets it still gets sap on it...just cant win lol

Sounds like Lombard is a hot spot for 4th gens, I guess that explains why I rarely see any at MP. Wonder what ever happened to Mike with the white SS 'vert (& '67 Impala) from last year in this thread? I haven't seen him or his friends with the pewter and black Camaros at all this season.

Great night at MP last night. Brought the '98 for the first time this year, then took it for a 40 mile cruise afterward.

There was a nice Polo Green '95 or '96 Z28 that pulled in right before me. It was a t-top/M6 car driven by an older couple. I haven't seen this one before, and it didn't stay long, but it looked very nice. Had some chrome salad shooters on it.

Looks like that pewter SS is now listed for sale, both in the classifieds here and on Craigslist.

I feel like I just saw that car at the Rolling Meadows show last night ... no for sale sign though.

Wow. Been to long since I've been on here. Was out at Rolling Meadows tonight with the Impala. Lot was completely full. Last one of the year for that location. Anyone going to MP tomorrow? Thinking about bringing the Camaro out.

Welcome back!

I plan to be at MP tomorrow, not yet sure if I'll have either car with me. If I bring something though, it will be the Camaro.

Too bad the weather screwed us tonight, I still went but thankfully left the car home since the forecast looked so bad. We had about 10 minutes there before the rain started.

I'm hoping to make the last Skokie/Old Orchard event on Monday. Weather is still uncertain though, too soon to tell.

Tomorrow should be nice, so I'll try to get the car out for a cruise. It's still got gas in it from 10/16.

Yes, bummer about the weather. I decided not to go. Glad I did rained pretty good here in Schaumburg. Oh well.

At least Sunday was nice; I put about 85 miles on the '98 car, finally got some fresh gas in it. Was a really nice cruise. Looks like it might hit 18k miles before the season is over.

Still hoping to get to the last Skokie/Old Orchard deal tonight. The sky is supposed to get better by 6pm, but who knows.

Three more MP's to go. Good show tonight, plenty of parking because it was a bit cold I guess.

Hopefully **fingers crossed** my car will be back together by next weekend. Doing things yourself vs. a shop tends to extend the timeline.

Great show at MP last night. I hit the 18,000 mile mark with the '98 on the way home.

Next weekend is the last event. If I bring a car next Saturday, it'll be the Nova.
