Photo's rant
 

I'm sure most of you guys in the Northern burbs have heard of a nice Sat get togeather location called Photos (Wolf and Kensington). Its a nice hot dog/burger joint with a decent parking lot and up til now...a decent crowd. This week and last week suffered the horrible invasion of the ricers. It pissed me off, and I know Silverghost doesn't like it either. Why? Why can't they get their own fricken spot and stay out of this family oriented decent car only zone. It just pisses me off thinking about as today I watched cars that last year would have parked, but instead just drove through off to another place or most likely back home. :rice :bigun2:

Is it pretty crowded this year?

if it's a young, rowdy crowd of ricers, then that would be pretty annoying.

It hasn't picked up to what it was last year, but I think it was doing pretty well for so early and looking like it was gonna rain today. Problem is, as stated above, the 20 ricers that just ruin it. :(

I don't mind imports as long as they'r not rowdy ass punks, same goes for the domestic crowd.

This has happened before. The show will go on, you won't see too many nice domestics out when there's any real chance of rain. Many of the rice crowd use their "show" cars as daily drivers as well so they could care less about the rain.

The weather hasn't been very good most of the saturday's so far this season. I've only made it out there one time so far. It'll pick up soon. ;) Unfortunatly though, as rice becomes more and more popular, it's gonna invade every show. If you can't stand those cars (like me) just ignore them, it's really all you can do......

Does the parking lot get really crowded like before? Is it only about 1/2 the lot?

So far its been the photo's half of the lot. But its still early. I to busy gawking at Jason's LPE TT C5 to really look at any other car.

I know the feeling, the local spot here has the rice parking as well, as they've been thrown out of everywhere else for acting stupid.

The worst part of it is, while they're certain to be removed from -our- lot, it will give everyone a black eye when they do something stupid. It's hard enough for me anyway with my car (1998 Grand Prix, ~400 HP) because it's not a "muscle car" but it's a long way from rice. Hard to fit in. My other car is a RX7 with an LS1, so that's not easy either. :bang:

Hopefully they learn where they're welcome at your lot, and LEAVE before they cause trouble for everyone. :engarde:

just bring the rx7 and if any body gives u problems pop the hood and/or run them :)

LPE TT vette in chicagoland. Have to get out there to Photo's and take a look at it. Good to know there other LPE cars close by :) .

I know where your comin from stoleit but there are 2 rx7 guys that I know and 2 wrx guys that i know too that go there and that whole crowd that you are talking about are actually cool guys(the ones I know) that whole crowd has never gotten rowdy or anything and actually Ive seen more stupidity from some of the others that are there and not them. Also they only meet there to go on a cruise which means they usually leave around 6:30. BTW one of the rx7s is a low 12 high 11 and the other is a low 13 car both of which are really good friends of mine and trust me they go there to see the domestics too... In actuallity I really dont consider most of those guys ricers since not one of them is driving a fwd car or a civic... it is mostly 240's,rx7s, and supras most of which would give some of us a pretty good run for our money...hey if they caused problems or were annoying id completely agree but they arent hurting anyone

I know two of the Rx-7 guys, I don't have a problem with them. Its the other guys I know they are gonna bring it. For example 2 weeks ago (missed last weeks) the two honda civics that came in, one being older than my DD (which is a 91) and having every guage in the world, including a fire extinguisher and an autometer clock, and stickers to go along with it and cover the rust spots. Or the fairly newer Civic with the FMIC look alike cold air intake, which I thought was halarious.

see those kids we dont even know...All the other ones though just meet there to go on a cruise

I hear Stratford got busted up this past weekend. No one is allowed back now?

It's a combination of dumbass punk kids (ricers or domestic owners). Also everyone leaves their shit all over the parking lot after they leave, which is enough for the owners to call the cops.

Damn looks like we need a huge turnout to force the ricers out again. I might be able to make it this Saturday if the weather's good.

I'm going to try to make it Saturday too. Not with the Camaro though, still need the water pump. Maybe I'll come on my bike or in my friends 69 LeMans

Jake, remember when we used to get about 10-15+ F-bodies lined up along the back row almost every saturday....those were fun days. :cheers:

Looks like saturday's weather is gonna blow. I still might make it out but not with the Camaro if it looks like rain.

All those son's of bitches invaded the Kirchoff car show too. Its a nice quiet car show with REAL cars and they come in revving their peices of shit bothering everybody.
