Maybe I'll see some of you guys next weekend. I'm going to make the trek up your way. Last year was the first time I went to the Dream Cruise. I saw tons of exotic cars I had never seen in person and on the road. (i.e. Ferarri, Lamborghini, Porsche GT)

I'm out there usually on Friday nights or Saturday nights -- my car is unmistakeable right now since it's totally mismatched. I had installed all the parts planning to have it in for paint by now, but then they "Got busy" and can't take it until Monday -- but they'll have it done just in time for Woodward Dreamcruise!!!!

Can you guys recommend any other cruise spots in the area for after they shut down Woodward? I know Gratoit used to be okay about 5 yrs. ago, but it's been lame the last few years.

Hopefully they don't continue the trend of shutting the cruise down 30min. earlier every year - remember when it was open till 11:00?

Also, any f-body club meets, etc. that weekend?

Did the Vette even know that the Cobra was playing?!?!? If I was in a company car I wouldn't be doing **** like street racing on Woodward.

Dude, I saw your car at CJ Barrymore's last night (I think). It is a sweet looking ride. A lot of nice cars there actually. One, a black Camaro with flames, was at the Autorama show as well.

I had a company car, 2006 Audi A4 and I looked out of place.

Or another way to say it: Metro parkway and Groesbeck.

I think I will check out Woodward this Saturday (maybe).

I think both the owners talked before and then decided to line'em up. So yes, the Vette new the Cobra wanted to race. I'm kind of surprised, I thought the Vette would beat him. Vette being a lot lighter and having that big hp. The Cobra had around the same horsepower though. It really is all in the driver, the Z06 proabably needed a better driver when it come down to it

I hope

I was out last weekend. Cops were already kicking everyone out of the parking lots. I just happened to be cruising along the opposite direction that the cops were working. There were a lot of cars out. We also went a few weekends ago and everyone was parked all along Woodward. I actually ran into a friend from work at the big parking lot at 13 & Woodward. Lots of us carnuts out there!!

I'm too old to go around punching people out these days, so I carry a gun in case someone gets out of control and I feel threatened.

Been to a couple of the Dream Cruises the last few years. Had more fun in the weeks prior to the cruise than on the actual cruise day, as far as cruising and racing goes. Cruise day is a Zoo. Cops busted up the activities 15 minutes after the sun went down, closing Woodward completely off both times I went. Leave it to the city fathers of Royal (J)Oak and the surrounding cities to **** up a wet dream.

At any rate. I'm glad you guys up there have something to look forward to besides shoveling snow, or getting a rebate on your snowblower if you get less than 40" of snow.

As for the Dream Cruise; Been there, done that, got a ticket, got a T-Shirt.
Got a sticker for my windshield, too.

If you hate the snow then Texas is the place to be.

But, Michigander is a completely acceptable term for those living in Michigan.

Dropped the car off for paint today! Should be done Wednesday, if I pick it up in time on Wednesday I'll be on Woodward that night cruising! If not, she'll be out for the Cruise.
