Default Need advice about Headers???

Hey,

I have a 95 Trans Am m6, ram air, 3:73's, and loudmouth2 exhaust. I am in the process of looking for some headers to put on my car, and called my mechanic (who's not real familiar with sport cars) about getting them put on. Well he said that I wouldn't be able to put any headers on it without getting a whole new exhaust system?? He also said that there would be really no horsepower gain??
Does this guy no what he's talking about?
I live in Madison WI, is there any shops you guys know of that does this type of work well? Thanks for any help.
Also if you have any mid or longtube headers your selling let me know.

Go with Pacesetter headers and their Off Road Y-pipe. (It should bolt up to your Loudmouth catback without any problems) You will see a gain with headers; the guy doesn't know what he is talking about. If you are in Madison, I would recommend going to Speed Inc. if you don't feel like tackling the install yourself. It isn't that hard and can be done on a Saturday.
