Found On Road Dead! It sucks being on the reciving end of a LS1!
 

Ok which f-body group was crusing along Roselle Rd in Schaumburg screaming Found on road dead. There was at least 7 f-bodies... I was taking my dad 72 Mach 1 out for a drive and it seized up on me... Dont know why.. I thought we were better than this people!!!! It really sucks being on the recieving end of the LS1's!

this is one reason why friends don't let friends drive Fords.. lol!

I saw a black 70's mustang that was broken down on Weathersfield just off Roselle over the weekend. My buddy yelled the same thing!! lol!

your lucky you didnt stick around :-) i got it started by towing it and putting it in gear.. dont ask me why... Its a hydrolock or something... Its happened 3 times since weve had the car since new in 72

haha.. yeah that was my buddies Silverado. We were on the way back form Applebee's. funny but the two guys in the bed of the truck are the hardcore ford guys... we were joking around because both of their Fords are currently broken both had to be towed home that day. Well one buddy said if he saw another Ford on the side of the road he would yell found on road dead.. a second later we turned onto Weathersfield and there was another Ford on the side of the road. lol!

At least you got it going. I figured it was either running or it was towed because I went by there a few minuted later to go to wallgreens and the car was gone. Looked like a nice car and one buddy in the bed of the truck was drooling over it. Very cool that its been in the family since new!

I don't get it. What does it mean to be, "found on road dead"?

Wait, I don't understand...the Ford you had been driving was at the side of the road, dead, and some f-body guys drove by and yelled out "found on road dead" and you're upset? You should hear what I yell to drivers of broken-down Japanese branded vehicles... :eyes:

No not upset at all... Embarassed! I get a kick out of all the people that drive by and give quick recommendations on how to fix it. I'll post some pics, but noone has ever seen the car. Its been in the garage for the last 4 years when i was in the navy and rebuilt the motor. And stored for 10 years before that.. 60K Miles on it. And did I forget to mention it's a R code too..

No way! An R code? Fantastic. That was a hell of a motor for its day. Not that I would know anything about Fords, of course. :jest:
