what happened?

geico is the only other company that comes to mind. i just switched from them to usaa for the bike cause geico was taking FOREVER to respond for just a quote for overseas and i got one instantly from usaa. not only that, but full coverage through usaa was cheaper than liability through geico for italy.

fyi, ive shopped around a few times and still havent found anyone less than usaa for the same coverages.

Well for my bike they tossed my policy to Progressive once I moved my bike from TX to SC for my deployment instead of adjusting my current policy they said I have to open a new policy and I also have to pay a down payment to Progressive to get the policy started and once I return from Iraq and and get my bike sent back to me in TX I will have to re-do my policy and re-pay a down payment...I just think its a load of BS and **** poor customer service.

Im looking into Geico now and the policy for my Vette and Trans Am is looking good but the bike alone was over 1k for a year and Im not used to having to pay that much for 1yr. So Im waiting on Progressive to get off thier *** and send me a quote and other info so I can make a decsion on who I will go with. Im also looking into my house insurance with Gieco also they seem to have a pretty good rate...

well looks like Im going with Progessive for my bike insurance and most likley Gieco for my cars. For the bike Geico wants over 1k and Progressive want 800 so no brainer there, my car quote with Geico is $630 full coverage and Im paying about that right now for "storage" coverage... USAA is slippin..

State Farm was $1592 cheaper per year (also had higher liability caps & lower deductible) on a literbike than USAA (referred me to Progressive). State Farm is also $742 cheaper per year for full coverage on my WS6 and a POS tired old Sonoma. This is for a 35 yo with no accidents or tickets in the past 5 years. I just can't afford to go to USAA.

I call my State Farm agent to let her know when I am leaving, who is authorized to drive my car on occasion, where it is stored, and they activate/suspend coverages as prudent.

I finally got my quote from Progressive for the Busa it is $800 12 month Policy full coverage, need to get with them once the policy starts for storage quote.

I also finally got a chance to call Geico for my Vette and TA full coverage $630 6/mo but I dont need that much coverage for the TA as it just sits in the garage..oh and its costs more to insure the TA than it does the Vette ..weird..

My storage quote is $70.97 a month for the Vette/TA for teh duration of my deployment... so we will see what I decide to do with the vette/ta

USAA did me the same recently. We just moved to Florida and changed some policy things around. I was trying to get the bike converted and they patched me through to Progressive. I'm pretty sure USAA is out of the bike insurance game. They wanted either half or all payment up front too
