Military car storage....how does it work?

Military car storage....how does it work? Currently at Ramstein Germany and on my way to Kadena Japan. I've been there before so I know I cant take my car with me. How does the storage process work? Is it put in a container or literally in rows at some lot? Will they store it in Germany since the car is here or ship it somewhere random? Anyone with first hand knowledge please let me know so I can get ready. (got about 7 months to go)

When I was in VA, I lived minutes from Ft Eustis and the cars in storage were just sitting in a fenced off parking lot. Some had car covers on them, some did not. I am not sure how it would work overseas, but I can not see it being much different.
