All military+ civilans members please help! west boro baptist church must stop now! A fellow brother in arms... One of my best friends in the marine corps and we been through some hard times recently passed away while training in California to deploy to Afghanistan again.. His home town is in Huntington,West Va. West boro baptist church is planning a protest his funeral March 5th around noon time. His family don't deserve this and neither does anyone else... I'm asking for all the help we can get to shield this funeral from these heartless people.. for those of you that don't know.. These people protest against military deaths with signs like "thank god for dead soldiers"..

This makes me furious... If I could make it I would. I am stationed in Japan right now. I can't believe that ****. Do they seriously believe that crap. That really gets my blood boiling.

i wish i was in the area. id go out there with my sig 1911.. im tdy to dallas right now. it truly sucks to hear about the situation. if you dont mind i can post it up on facebook and try and get you some feedback.

People like this make me sick but there is nothing you can do to stop them. Unfortunately they are protected by freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
I doubt they will show up, they were supposed to protest a couple funerals around here and they never showed.

They are showing up... They was just in Cleveland, Ohio protesting at the school shootings were some young kids got killed. If you guys can post it up where ever that will be much appreciated. They are protected by the right's that military members gave them and die for them.. very sad this happens but they have be kicked out of many areas... and that's the idea.. To help shield his family from them.

Wish I was closer to help.
I'd contact all every military base near you (via their PA office) and ask if military members would like to come out as an escort.

I had a similar situation almost a year ago
Contact the Patriot Guard - they'll gladly have a convoy of loud *** Harleys and they'll block the protestors
Contact the local police - they can't keep them away but they can designate an area just for them...usually several hundred yards from the burial where noone can see or hear them
Contact the local media - they'll also gladly put out the word - for my buddy, there were thousands of people lining the streets of the procession
If word gets out, the Westboro people usually dont show up...especially if theres the slightest hint of people willing to block their protests
However, if they do show up, dont get violent or make threats - the head guy Phelps is a civil attorney and they make a large % of their money suing people that make threats or assault them

Great news everyone. WBC did not show up to his funeral and his family mourned in peace the way be. I really wish I could been able to attend his funeral but I couldn't make it.. I know he is a better place and I will meet him again some day.. I'll leave it at that and once again thanks everyone that contributed and helped out... Semper Fi

Im not in any forces but have many friends that are this is bull someone needs to show up in there house with a half a dozen 50 cals and clean house. If it went for all the bigs dogs over seas NONE of us would be even reading this not even them

was your friend by chance in the HMLA-469 helo crash that happened last week? and i absolutely despise everyone associated with the Westboro baptist church. a friend of mine in the car club passed away in a car accident over christmas and they threatened to show up. But they never did thank god. The awesome men and women of the Patriot Guard did show up however and escorted all the way to the funeral. God Bless those men and women.
