Fort Leavenworth is a nice post, but the footprint of the installation seems rather confined; not bad if you walk or ride a bike to work. The PX and commissary are similar to those at most other installations nowadays. The town of Leavenworth itself is typical of a prison town, but there are nice areas to eat and shop nearby. Good luck at your next assignment.
