BTW, in your SIG; "DO NOT BUY THE SLP 85mm MAF. It made my car go crazy." I had to chuckle when I read that because I had a similar thing happen on my TA.

Several times while on leave when I was active duty Marine in the 80's I used the weight room and other facilities at Bergstrom. In fact, I was an aircraft electrician on RF-4Bs in the USMC. If I remember correctly, BAFB had RF-4Cs?
I've lived in & around Austin off and on most of my life, except while in the USMC 1980-1988 [1984-1985 broken time]. Now, I live in Buda, which is 15 miles south of Austin & 65 miles north of my USAR Unit. I thought you might enjoy this site History of Austin Bergstrom International Airport [ABIA]

This is an awesome LS1TECH Thread!
BTW, for all you servicemembers Anheuser Busch Adventure Parks [Seaworld, etc] now offer complimentary admission for active duty military representing all five service branches, active members of Reserve, or National Guard Unit, and/or up to three direct dependents. This offer expires 12/31/05.
Go to this link for more info. Plus, here is the registration form link, too. I already filled out my registration form for Seaworld San Antonio.
Have fun!

Commo- They can talk about us but they can't talk without us.
P.S.- I think I work with some of the soldiers reddrum put through AIT a few months ago. We got about 8 new 31U about 7-8 months ago. Like somebody else said the internet is a small place.

USCG-reserve 1983-1994
(Uncle Sam's Confused Group)
PS3 (Port Security)
-MSO-Tampa
-1984-LA/Long Beach-Anti Terrorist Task Force-Summer Olympics. Ops @Base TI, Billeted @ the Long Beach Naval Station (Many thanks to the LBNS for the hospitality)
-Pre-com unit-Station Clearwater (formerly Sand Key until Commissioned), assisted in getting the station up and running. Spent the rest of my tour "assigned" there. Tough duty
Since it is a L/E-SAR station, spent most of the time doing just that.
-Loaned-(lol) to Gunners section (GM), Group St. Pete.
Weapons and Tactics instructor in civillian occupation (law enforcement) so I spent the majority of my tour running up and down the coast of Florida (From Station Sandgnat-Yankeetown-Ft. Myers) doing weapons, tactics, officer safety (boarding) instruction for both AD/Reserve personnel.
Did a lot of Pub. Relations gigs while in as well...gotta love it.
-1990 Voluntered for deployment during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Unfortunately, due to an injury during training, never got to leave the states
Would still be in had it not been for Slick ***** and his damned downsizing !@#&%$#
Oh well, thats life. Still in L/E still training.
Prior USA-FLARNG.
