just saying hi Howdy, my name is Alan and I am in the Army and i just got off a tour in iraq.... thank god right. Im home and safe now..... unless my car kills me. I am a reservist and currently assigned to a unit in Dallas, Tx.

-VQ-4 Pax River during the Herc/Shadow transition.
-VA-36 Oceana on A-6 Intruder decom '93 cruise
-HC-4 NAS Sig..tour as a H-53E crewman
-VP-26 NAS Brunswick,ME. P-3's
-AIMD Mayport
-HS-3 NAS Jax SH/HH-60's.Thats where I'm at now.
Father flew T-38's/Huey's/F-16's USAF.
Grandfather commisioned Army in '42/retired in '62.
Younger brother is a USMC H-46 pilot just returning to MCAS Miramar from OIF deployment.
We got all the branches covered.
Joined in Aug '90..Bootcamp in O-town.

I just seperated end of November from the USAF after four years of service. I was a 2E1X3 - Ground Radio Communications. I spent my last three years at Andrews AFB, MD. I just did a DITY move to Oregon less than a month ago and am enjoying being a civilian again. I spent my last month traveling Europe via Space A flights. The trip kind of made me sad I was getting out after all the cool people I met.
