Default What did you do with the $$ from Iraq

While I was over there I bought 2 tvs both 27" for $50 and 2 xbox and played halo all my down time. When I got to kuwait sold everything for $100 including an AK-47 with 10,000 rounds. Came back and bought a truck, pawned it off on my parents then got my 2001 SS, thinking about getting this Trailblazer SS with some of my Iraq money.

I was in Iraq for the first year. In October of '03, I sent Joe Prince (a sponsor at the time) a check for $10,000 for an assembled 427 longblock with the assumption is would be ready to drop in when I returned. In June of '04 I recieved the block, crank and pistons. And that's all I ever got from 'ol Joe. ************ stole my combat pay. My car is in the shop as we speak finally getting the motor put in, over two years after I paid for a complete motor and after spending big bucks rebuying all the parts I got ripped off of. I also got a Moser 12 bolt and t-56 swap the month after I came home.

Yeah I remember you getting fucked over pretty hard........ Have you kicked his *** yet for that....???? I would not stop looking for him until the job was finished....

Going to buy a 97-99 Corvette for less than 20K and buy a Hi-flo twin turbo setup for it.... I already have one new motor lookig for some boost. Eventually I will get the Camaro back on the track sooner or later.

You get tax free(mine's $400 extra/month) and hazardous duty pay(for me it's $225/month). Every branch is different on the pay you get

I actually talked to him last spring. He claimed (and another member saw) my TEA heads at his house. Bare of course because he didn't have the money for the parts. He said he would send them to me, but of course he didn't. Claimed he joined the Navy Reserve lol

Dude, that is all kinds of fucked up. I would probably lose it if my combat pay got ripped like that and that man would be dead already.

on a side note....looks like i'm heading back to Iraq for another round, was already over there for over a year, back less then a year, and heading back already....i hate being an MP in the reserves ****...

Now one thing that did scare me was getting a phone call for a part and hearing gun fire in the background. I didn't ask questions ... I just took the order quickly and let him go.

RPM is doing the install. They've had my car for 3 weeks now. Would have been finished a long time ago, but I ended up deploying to Afghanistan with little notice. The nightmare should be over soon!
