Im not sure if I can post this, but if it's not allowed, mods take it off..

I got this in my email from some guys i work with, and it seems legit. Before I order I will call Microsoft on the phone and ask them, and I would suggest anyone who wants it to do the same...just to be safe...

$20.95 for the whole suite of programs on one DVD. It will be shipped

update our current version of Office on our computer at home. Read

The Microsoft Home Use program is for real!! I ordered Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 this year and only paid in the area of $20.00. I have ordered MS Office and MS FrontPage in the past both for $20.00. Now as far as the legality of posting this info here...I have no idea, the info we get from our IT folks says not to pass the info to people outside of our command.

Here's the email I received a few months ago (I removed our code just in case):

Microsoft Home Use Program – Office 2007
1. All Air Force members (military and civil service) are eligible to participate in the Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP) in accordance with the recently signed Microsoft Enterprise Agreement. This program allows you to get a licensed copy of the most recent version of Microsoft Office desktop software at a very low price to install and use on your home computer. You may continue using this HUP software as long as you are an Air Force employee.
2. AETC employees have had this same program available for the past several months as part of our MAJCOM enterprise agreement. The program is now available Air Force-wide. Anyone who purchased software under the AETC program can continue to use that software without a problem.
3. Please note that some product and language versions may not be available at the time you place an order. For up-to-date information on the availability of Home Use Program software, please visit http://microsoft.com/licensing.
4. To access the Microsoft Home Use Program web site, please follow the steps below.
a. Go to https://hup.microsoft.com/
b. Select the country to which you wish your order to be shipped to and choose the language for viewing the order web site.
c. Enter your corporate e-mail address and insert the following program code XXXXXXXXX. Note: This program code is assigned specifically to AETC for our sole use in accessing this site. Please do not share this number with anyone outside AETC.
d. Place your order on line and it will be shipped to the location you have chosen. Please note that a fulfillment fee (around $20.00) will be charged to cover packaging, shipping, and handling costs.
Here's what you get, just the basics, a disk and a product key

I think it works for all branches of the service. I got mine a while ago. If you're in the aif force look on the af portal home page and it tells you about it on the bottom somewhere.

Hey guys checkout what I found courtesy of www.baseops.net then clicking on computer discounts and being sent to this link http://www.military4life.com/discounts/computers.html

Microsoft
Army, Air Force, and DOD civilian employees are eligible to receive great discounts on all Microsoft products. Army emebers, click the link below for instructions and limitations on ordering from the Microsoft website. An AKO login is required. Air Force personnel see details below.

On 19Jan07, LTG Boutelle (US Army) signed the Army Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP) memorandum. All Army Soldiers and civilian personnel are now eligible for a licensed copy of Microsoft Office desktop applications to use on a home computer. Soldier and civilians will pay approximately $20 for what is typically several hundred dollars. Instructions and Limitations for ordering...

The Air Force has entered into a contract with Microsoft for Enterprise Licensing and now offers the Home User Program (HUP) and the Employee Purchase Program (EPP). The HUP allows USAF personnel to purchase the most current enterprise (professional) version of Microsoft Office for the price of about $21. You will need to talk to your unit IT manager to receive your Base / Wing code. Use this code paired with your official AF email address when logging onto the Microsoft HUP Website. Additionally, the EPP Website allows you to enter your Program Code and official email address allowing you access to purchase other Microsoft products at a nominal fee. You may purchase up to three copies of any product available.

My comm guys are useless. I just called them up asking about this and told me that it was only for Army personnel. I sent the guy an email that I cut and pasted exactly what is above and they were like no it's not real. They then sent me to the EPP website. I went through the code thing and it brings up Microsoft office 2007 for a discounted price for a nice $260.

This is bullshit. I'm pissed.

This deal is always been offered to members of DoD. In the USAF, each command has a diff code to use.

It works. I've had mine for a month or two now.

Not sure I would have posted all that information on a Public forum. I'd recommend at least removing the contact info in the emails.
