charleston AFB is anyone based here, or near here? i'm going to be down there in october, and i figured it'd be nice having some people to hang out with when i get there.

I've been at Charleston since January 2004. I'm a ground radio maintenance/LMR tech in Comm and our shop is next to the SFS building....imagine that, lol. Do you have any questions about the base or the local area? Charleston is my first duty station so I really can't compare it to others. Nice base, IMO. I think alot of people would agree with me too.

Hmmm... I cant wait until my cross-train window opens. Im puttin in for a new career field and a BOP to charleston. Then Ill be closer to my g/f and closer to Folly beach...
