Default I got Hawaii!

A couple weeks ago I put in for a PCS to Hawaii, an I called my branch manager today to find out if I got it, turns out I did but I'm kinda worried about something. My report date isn't till Nov-an I know my unit is getting ready to leave in December an the stop loss hits in September-Is this going to effect me? I was told no but im not exactly sure an im kinda nervous about it, I really want this assignment.

depends on your commander really (I think) 25th ID should be up for deployment soon as well I was there 2 years ago and they were just about to leave so the year of stabilization should be up soon

I don't mind so much if i deploy with 25th ID, I think I rather would than my unit now, they drive me nuts-thats why I want to leave.

You need to talk to your command. You could get stop lossed.

It is at the BDE CDR's discretion really, they have a lot of power to lock you in for a deployment or let you go.

Stop loss isnt an issue, its stop MOVEMENT that is the issue. If your unit doesnt put in for a stop movement for its UIC then you can leave the unit. If they do its called a fenced unit and you will have to deploy with them and then PCS when you get back.

Happened to a few of my friends before this deployment. Two of them had Germany orders but have to wait 15 months before they can get over there.
