i talked to the recruiter, he agrees in me doing pt leading up to the end of september and making the choice then based on med issues. ill be starting pt next week. its nice, the staff sgt isnt pulling the salesman bs that a lot of the recruiters do. hes actually helping me out with this and i commend him for it.

medical issues? The Marines is going to **** your body up. If you have issues coming in, they are just going to get worse. Especially back/knee/shoulder injuries. Just a heads up.

+1. How do you even pass physical at the Meps w/ your medical issues? I don't think you'll be qualified. But good luck.

^^^^^LOL that is messed up! Eveything is true bud if you are getting your asthma back I wouldn't join. The recruiter is just going to try and get you ready for the IST test that has a 1 1/2 mile run. After that you will be running 3 mile's and a lot more after boot. But you still got to see if you even can run. Good luck and maybe your asthma won't be as bad as when your a kid.

first, talk to your doctor. if he thinks its safe for you, dont let asthma stop you. you wont be the first marine with asthma. look at Jerome Bettis. he had some of the worst asthma a person could have, but he was one of the most feared ball-carriers in the NFL. so dont let asthma stop you. you will regret it if you do more than you would if you were to try and fail. and if you become an 08, who cares. they ride trucks everywhere anyways, lol.

Well if everything works out in your favor, go intel. I went another route my first enlistment and finally switched over. If you go intel you have thousands of opportunities when it come time to get out and if you decide not to get out take the 90K signing bonus and collect a paycheck for another 4 years.
