Sweet, I might have to call scott up when I get my BBC up and running for a lil action:devil:

Gauge 10-31-2008 05:27 PM

It's weird. When the car is at red line it sounds like it's just WOT at 3500 RPMs. :P

shtnfrds 10-31-2008 05:51 PM

that does sound strange. like he never goes past 1/2 or 3/4 throttle.

FYRARMS 10-31-2008 10:46 PM

Great video! :)

Now, how do you guys plan on gaining 32 mph next spring? Why is a pesky 15-year-old Japanese car with a 6-cylinder whipping you Vette guys every year? :bang: Come on, LG! You can do it! Can't let the ricers take all the glory. It's Texas, for God's sake!

0-241.8 mph in one mile

Phantom_LS2 10-31-2008 10:51 PM

Who tuned it? Sean? I need to hurry up and get some mods on the car so I have a reason to get back up there.

Louis 10-31-2008 11:08 PM

I tuned it :) over 80 dyno pulls in 3 days :D

Fyrarms- you never know what will happen ;) this was our first even, SW has us beat in the amount of mile passes made ;) We will get there, trust me. It took them 15 years to go 241, we will surpass that in 3 years :D ;)

khibbets 10-31-2008 11:58 PM

Louis,

Was that your grey Z06 parked out front Monday when I came by with those center caps? It was great looking. I'm sure you have big plans for it if it's yours.

I'll be in Wednesday for a little work.

Man, I hope so, Louis. The Viper has been around as long as the Supra, and that V10 crowd can't even get one of their full-blown, race-bodied, non-street, twin-turbo stroker cars to touch that pesky stock-bodied 6-cylinder Japanese car. Come on, Heffner and Hennessey! Aren't you guys running 1500hp+ 510"+ twin-turbocharged V10 monster motors? It's a damned 6-cylinder in SW's car! Sheesh!

If the Viper guys can't touch the Supra gang after 15 years, I hope you guys can do it. The current #1, #2, and #3 spots are held by pesky ricer Supras. Damn it... :bang:

sedanman 11-01-2008 08:48 AM

Nice job, especially for your first year!

Louis 11-01-2008 11:52 AM

Kurt, It was indeed my Z outfront :D I will see you wednesday, You bringing more centercaps? :D

Jeff, Thanks, a mustang went 194, I thought you would be proud :)

FYRarms- The only issue that we will run into is the limitation of the stock parts. Engine stuff is fine, the gearbox and drivetrain is what worries me. No one has gone that far on stock stuff, and until this point LPE was the only person over 200 in a C6. We are striving to keep it a "street" car, and not go the race car route. The car that went 210 is a customers car, so it NEEDs to drive well :D

We will be walking a fine line between street car and race car for sure, and that is our main goal.

We are in the design stages of another car. We will not be at the March mile due to the American Lemans @ Sebring, but we will have a car hopefully ready for the october 09 mile.

As for the viper guys, they should/can/and do have a shot, they just had bad luck this year with Rickys 02 GTS and the timing/scoring not being on.

Louis

You should be fine with the stock stuff, right? SW ran that 241.8mph pass and his 8.47sec ET using the same 15-year-old OEM transmission and axles. The factory Z06 parts should be just as durable, shouldn't it?

Its about time we found a supra that was good for something other than dyno racing.

Hey, that's a good one! :D Based on the list of mods in your signature, maybe you could show all those dyno queens who the "king" is. Bet it is a real Supra slayer...
