Finally in the 10's!!

Hey all,

Took the car out to a 1/4-mile track finally. With the power I have I know I should be getting better times, but just because I have a mid-10's car doesn't mean I'm a mid-10's driver. ;)

I made a few passes in the 11.0 range (including an 11.002, which pissed me off), and finally stuck with it until I got this. The Mustang I'm running is a buddy of mine. I gave him about 1/3 of a second on the tree because I wasn't paying attention to tree times. As you will see, the car ate it up pretty quick. :D

The 60' was a 1.58, btw.

For some reason I am not able to view these at work. What was your time and mph?

Gauge Jun 8, 2009 10:14 AM

10.964 @ 126.21.

Interestingly enough, my first 11-second pass was an 11.964. I wonder if the car will ever see a 9.964. ;)

Sweet. What size blower pulley are you using?

Gauge Jun 8, 2009 12:36 PM

I think it's a 3.70.

That Mustang sure makes a lot of noise for a 13.3...

Nice Bird though! :D

I appreciate it. I think I need LCA relocation brackets so I can get a little less squat in the back and a little more lift in the front before I'll see the tires come up. I need to get after the launch a bit more, too, but I'm still feeling out what the clutch is going to be able to handle.

so you're making 600+ hp with ported stock heads? very nice. how much more do you think i will be able to make with a 92/92 and 92 mm tb with afr's 215's? very inspiring man.

Great Pass!!!! What kind of tire were you running???

'Trust' Jul 17, 2009 11:48 AM

Nice run! An anti-roll bar, scaling, and some QA1 style shocks will get that 60' down and you well into the 10's.
