Default mini dv

I have a panasonic mini dv camcorder. It takes still shots too. I can get the still shots on the computer, but how do i get the video on the computer.

You need to capture via FireWire or a USB connection and some software(Some cheap stuff Shoulda come with yo camera). If not, I suggest Adobe Premiere.

I plugged it into a usb connection and the computer recognizes it but the software doesnt. What about this firewire thing, whats it.

fire wire i think its just for Mac computers you should use usb and download it through the my computer or use the directions on the owners manual

firewire is IEEE1394, not just for macs. I have one on my
HP to connect my dvd burner. It's just a higher bandwidth
connection to you machine.

Just put a teaspoon of Dextron in the carb, that'll clean er out real good!

yeah they have had internal fire wire on pc's but i think now you can get the external cards, it is pretty much a pimp *** usb connection.
