i say bs...

tCTech Sep 25, 2009 10:02 PM

Sounded like the vette 'started' in 5th or 6th. wtf? that's a BS "race".

xpensivehabit Sep 25, 2009 11:43 PM

35-40 roll. It was a legit race. That car is putting down close to 500 awhp

DoggyB22 Sep 26, 2009 12:18 AM

yea dont get where this "BS" is coming from. that Evo like posted is pushing a shit load of hp... throw in a cam/headers done deal

Mavmavv Sep 26, 2009 12:17 PM

the vette driver needs the transmission explained to him.

smok'nZ Sep 27, 2009 04:00 PM

02NBMFormula Sep 27, 2009 04:45 PM

TX_SS Sep 27, 2009 04:48 PM

i believe it.!!

The FP red is a pretty nice turbo.
If he's set-up right for e85 then he could be making a good amount of power.
I would have liked to see a cleaner run though.

hawk584 Sep 27, 2009 05:52 PM

time to step it up!... but no matter what you do, their is always someone faster....

Just an FYI. I made 631 whp with an FP RED turbo and it went 9.5@145. It is an extremely impressive stock appearing turbo. My car is not the mainstream evo, but it gives you an idea of the potential. E85 is no joke and thats what Ive been running. Good race though, its all fun. Up the shot and piss the evo off:)

xpensivehabit Sep 27, 2009 08:39 PM

I need to get some other toys installed. And then we will see if I need more juice.

631 to the wheels and a 145 trap?
A timeslip would be nice.

I will dig up the timeslip. The car is much faster now. I was doing some testing and dialing in on a bigger T3 turbo and the car went 9.0@157 short shifting on the first pass:) Car made 804 whp. Could've made more but I am out of injectors. The E85 requires mammouth injectors at that level:(

I dont want to take the OP thread way off topic. But here is the video with timeslip. I am also including the newer video of the 9.0@157. The car will go 8.70-8.80@160 plus but the clutch was getting weak. Its been in the car for a year. Its a twin carbon and they need to be pulled before they slip. If they slip the rebuild cost goes from a few hundred to a few thousand:( Its been rebuilt to new spec and is on its way home. Anyways, yes E85 is an amzing fuel for any car and you just cant beat the price. Just need to be careful with it in the Northen states in Winter as the blends change and they lose consistency. Its fine here in Florida... Just so everyone knows I use to own an LS1 SS. My signature is messed up and also says 2 posts. Just didnt want you to think I came in here to wave some Import flag:) I love em all...

Everyones idea of gutted is different. To me its not gutted. It doesnt have A/C, radio, backseats, exhaust, headlights, or airbags. But full dash all working guages, lights, windows, etc. Keep in mind this car is a full legit 8.50 car and has all the safety gear which is well over 200# back in. Nothing was cut anywhere on this car except the front radiator support. Doors still have all the crash beams, etc. That being said, everything in this car is a deciated part. The Motegi Trak Lite wheels weigh 10# a piece, that type of stuff. Heres a pic.
