Thanks for all the feedback, good and bad. I'm just trying something different here to see if it works. Still some finishing touches I'm gonna do though, like match the handles with the gray color rather than the flat black, same with the mirrors. Also get rid of my amber markers, stuff like that.
I know it takes a bit more prep to do, and inconsistencies in the paint and defects are much more prevelant that they would be otherwise with a normal paint job. Also keeping a flat black paint job clean is near impossible. Most noticeably is moisture or droplets of water show up quite pronounced.
That is in fact where I got the idea for the stripe from, just wanted to swap sides with it.
Thanks...The brakes along with the hydro-boost conversion help stop my truck really well from any speed!
Yeah that kinda bugs me too, some people have suggested taking the stripe down further down and onto the bumper but I'm not sure that would look much better.
Yeah, the guy in the first pic is a professional photographer from Truckin Magazine and he knew what he was doing however I had no idea WTF I was doing so I just snapped a few shots with my own camera and as you can see photography isn't my thing, I'll try to get some better ones soon.
Pretty much a flat color base without any clear on it, I'm thinking about throwing on some egg-shell clear on it though.
Someone else told me to do that, I'd have to see it first to see if I like it but it's a cool idea.
Not a clue but I'll try and find out here this week.
Here's a close up!

No worries man! I like hearing people's taste regardless even if they are different from mine. There's something about the grill that's bugging me so I'm gonna get it repainted tomorrow.
Not sure what you mean about the silver lip? There is a reflection in most every picture due to flash or sunlight but the wheels are powdercoated flat black. No lip.
