The nissan is an impressieve overall package. I think its a tad too heavy though. It would be off-the-charts if it weighed in with the Zo6. However, I still like the looks/engine and the heritage of the Vette ten times more.

but here is my question....I know the HP ratings are all pretty close for the 3 cars but in the first video did you see the "price as tested" and "base price"....
_________price tested______base price
gt500.........$55k...................$49k
z06............$98k............$75k
gt-r............$91k..................$91k
REALLY?!?!?! Yes the GT500 lost fair and square but look at the price difference as well. Don't get me wrong yes I am a fan of the GT500, but I am also a fan of the LSx vehicles hence the DD...I have loved the GT-r since I first saw the old styles. What I have to look at is if you were to get a GT500 that is closer in the "price as tested" range to the Z06 and GT-r you won't be getting the base GT500 but more in the super snake models.

the professional race car driver said it himself, "the nissan felt numb, boring. no, not numb, just boring". that's not what i want to experience from a 90k supercar. If i was to spend that much money on a car I would want an exciting car that tested my driving skills, not a do-everything-for-you car like the GT-R.
with an unlimited amount of money and a choice between the three; the z06 would be my first choice, the beastly gt500 next, and then i might try out the gt-r just for kicks...
it's obvious that newer technology performs better than the older ways, but i think it lessens the whole experience that enthusiasts get when driving; i guess the only way i can put it is that it seems to take away from the personality that cars used to have. I might not always view it this way, but to me, a manual transmission with the traction control turned off will produce more grins and enjoyment than a automated computer driven manual car ever will; and that's why i got into this hobby of cars, the enjoyment and excitement they bring...

I rode in a GT-R and it was really fun. My friend who owns it is a crazy driver and he turned off the nannies when he used it. He also ran it with the launch control feature and that launch was ridiculous.

Holy hell, how could you pick any besides the Z06 after seeing all of them lined up to race?? It makes the other two look like freakin' tanks! I really don't get the new fad of making these gigantic sports cars, +1000 to Chevy for keeping the Corvette nice and slim. And why did they go for a fully loaded Z06 over a ZR1? Aren't they just a hair over $100k?
