Default Video result of a set up race... end up running the same exact times

I posted on a local car forum that I was looking for a competitive race. My car runs consistent 11.0s so I was hunting for a range anywhere between 10.8-11.2. I found exactly what I was looking for in a 72 Nova with a small block and some giggle juice. We both end up running the same exact times...

Here's the video:

If you only want to see the race, watch from 1:00 - 2:00 in the video.

However...This is the crazy part...This was at a local event with sponsors who helped to put it together. One of them was raffling off a 32" LCD TV. It just so happened that they announced the winner at the end of my race, and my brother-in-law won. All of which I catch on video along with all of my in-laws reactions. I left the video unedited so you can see the chain of events that happen. Or, if you're just curious what Bradenton Motorsports Park looks like... you get to see a 360 view. lol

Oh, and one more thing. Pay attention to the view from the staging to the launch. If nothing else, this is a decent video of what people are talking about when we say: you don't want your car to 'squat'. You will notice when I stage and footbrake the car up to about 3600 rpm, the back of the car goes UP.... NOT down. Now, I'm preloaded and ready to plant the tires into the ground as there's weight transfer from the front to the back during launch. Thus resulting in a 1.48 60' from 425 hp and 3600+ lbs raceweight.

That's pretty damn cool. And I agree with your launching methods! I like to do the same thing

Thanks!

Yes, stock cam, stock heads, stock ls6 intake, stock throttle body, screened maf. Now, the rest of the drive train is built... But the motor is just a normal stock LS1 with 86K miles and a 100+ bottles through it.

I'm running an FTI TH400 and FTI 4200 converter. I've gone a 1.41 60' launching off the Transbrake.

I'm running a Moser 9" narrowed 3" on each side with 3.75 gears and 325 (28") radials.

Very nice! But you hit the 10.94 N/A? Or with the 150 shot?

You have about the same setup I am going to run. TH400, 9 inch, 325/50/15 MT DR's, transbrake.

You gave me a nice good feeling about what my car would run.

The 10.94 was on a 150 shot coming off the Transbrake going 1.41 60'. Best 60' off the foot brake was actually this pass and I went 1.48 60'. Normally go 1.50-1.52 60' off foot brake on the juice. I've run a slew of 11.0x off the foot brake. I really need to get a two step and set the car up to disengage nitrous while the Transbrake is engaged and when I let off the button, I'm off the Transbrake and on the gas. Right now, I'm just spraying on the Transbrake.

Best 60' on motor off the Transbrake has been 1.58 60' but typically run about 1.62. Converter is pretty tight and set up for the juice. It's just begging for more power.
