When people ask me what tranny I have. I tell them it's a T56 with close ratio gears. Exactly what it is. I was just curious if you knew that MN-12 was just a T56 version like the MM-6 out of the Camaro, MN-6 in the non Z06 Vette.

My manual was the oposite. only 423/382, but trapped 118.54 in like 1600 DA. All the autos I have raced with similar or slightly less power (Gaunt's old Z for example, 400/400), were trapping a lot less. I think his trapped 113, we just ran the same ET. Or some other guys I know in the 114-117 range with more power then I was making.

you guys sound like bunch of ******* in the video. No one in the history of building cars unless its a serious drag or street car has ever taken the t-56 out of their vette and swapped with an a4..... and if you did swap it it would have been a th400 or something along those lines. no one is impressed.

And yes, that black car is easy to control I'm sure.

I make 420rwhp and trap 124mph at 3700lbs... through an auto.

I did know that, see above for my reason why I said it. It was wrong for me to do it, just how I view it is different I suppose.
My 3500+# car with 37XRwhp was running 117mph hitting the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift FWIW.

I never talked autox down, I LOVE it. I got to ride in several cars several time at last years Ls1Fest and had an absolute BLAST!! It got me hooked and I will have a car I autox one day. Not as serious as my straight line drag racing just a stock C5Z to get out and have some fun in at stuff like LsFest and what not.

I still think its hilarious how M6 guys get so defensive. The only race I had in my old LT1 (228/236, slightly worked heads, bolt ons, TDs, 3600 stall, 2.73s) I raced my friends 230/236 cam only LS1 M6. When I finally let him pull around me after I let off at 120 I got the "oh i spun and then missed 3rd" excuse.
