This was my recollection as soon as I saw the video. Pretty sure I saw that on the Mischeif 3000 videos. But there are bunch of Gumball vids out there so it might have been somewhere else.

It was flapping... If you kept driving your car down the road, with that piece of material flapping up and down (think about how violent the flapping could be), instead of just peeling the POS off then the idiot would not be these guys haha. It was going to come off one way or the other.

Also something tells me the money they spent on that car, while astronomical to some of us, wasnt that big a deal to them haha. Just makes for entertaining video for the rest of us that woudl have been crying if our C6 roof was peeling away!

That was Gumball and the roof came off on its own on the highway. They got sick of the roof flapping so they took it off.
