Default My night

I got called into work on my day off so I was pretty pissed off. So on my way home, I did some pulls since It was the dead of night. Here's one.

I let off the throttle but meant to go a little further.

Pretty impressive, hard to tell because the camera went blurry but it looks like your 0 to 60 time was right around 5 seconds

Slightly faster then that. I spun the tirest all the way to 60. I got it to 75 in ~5 seconds. Mind you I still haven't put the heads and cam in.

What's going on with the SES light and the missfires in the top RPM range?

I deleted EGR/AIR, too... I'm running the rear O2 sensors but have sims in case I decide to take them off or ditch the cats.. I keep the high flow cats cuz it actually tones down the rasp of my exhaust...

Ya just need ya a set of O2 sims, and you can get rid of the SES is that's the source and you have HP tuners or something. Around here you couldn't get a car through emissions without getting rid of the SES light.

yeah that's how it is in California as well, but I just moved out here to Alabama and January and thankfully there are no Emission checks

but unfortunately I do not have any handheld tuners or anything, I'm debating on if I should even bother buying 1 because I have the 98 and as we all know 98 is a royal pain in the *** for tuning so I figure if I'm ever going to spend the money on tuning it I might as well just get it dyno tuned instead of spending almost the same amount on a handheld tuner

I would not say '98s are a royal pain in the *** for tuning, there's just some caveats you have to keep in mind that don't apply to '99-'02 cars... like that you can't take a tune from someone else's car and put it on yours, the tune has to originate with YOUR cars file. The newer cars are certainly EASIER, but '98's aren't THAT bad.

i hear ya... people kinda made it seem like its a lot harder to tune than i guess it actually is
