Not that it would have done much good but shouldn't there have been a fire extinguisher attached to the roll cage?

Hope he has insurance

Nimble like a cat that driver was haha.

Do they make automatic extinguishers for cars? , used to have a boat with a built 350 and there was one in the engine compartment, granted it would not help much in this case but could delay it enough to put it out properly and driver to get out.

Looked like he was pulling the fire system lever just not doin any good!

Racing is not covered by your insurance (unless its race car insurance)

Yes, they make automatic fire extinguishers for cars....not cheap, but cheaper than a new car. @ 1.06 you see his left hand on a T-handle....that's the fire extinguisher manual activation.

He had his oh shit moment in life.

From few there and track officials said he didn't pull fire extinguisher system. Maybe thought wasn't that serious till to late.

Also from what was said wasn't a nitrous outlet kit. But a umm cheaper kit made with cheaper solenoids.

he did pull the suppression system trigger, however, he didn't pull it hard enough. when the emergency crew arrived and got the blaze somewhat under control, they noticed the handle was not open. one guy reached in and yanked it and the suppression system operated as intended.

unfortunately for this corvette and the owners wallet, it was a little too late.
