Just bought Ronald McDonald's old WS6! It's finally time to create a thread. After having my 98 T/A stolen about 5 years ago I've gone through a few vehicles since then but I always had that itch of having another one. Here's the last pic I have of it with fresh paint before it got stolen a few months later, it was a rare color too! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...a/DSCF2974.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...a/DSCF2970.jpg I found this bad boy on ebay and it had exactly all the options I wanted. Bright red, true ws6, M6 and black interior and only 60K miles! Optioned exactly how I dreamed of having one back in high school when they were new. So I submitted an offer and the guy accepted it! So I had it brought the 2,000 miles to good ol Texas. YES THE FLAMES ARE GOING AWAY ASAP. I can't bring myself to like them no matter how good the quality of the work is. It was hard to look past it when I bid on it but I got a killer deal on it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...729_151013.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...a/ws6/_577.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...a/ws6/_571.jpg Very good quality of work, can't feel a thing under the clear coat but, YUCK :doublepuk: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...a/ws6/_573.jpg It has some nice mods, like the factory C6 wheels, LTs, ORY and the adjustable Borla catback, but the cherry on top is the G-trim blower it came with, nice little bonus! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...a/ws6/_574.jpg So I had to get it to pass the state emissions test so a set of 02 sims, new blower belt, plugs and knock sensors later, it runs like a champ and passed with flying colors! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...54815749_n.jpg Next on the list is to get rid of the mulletmobile paint job, a real tune, lower it and maybe change the wheels. |
Clean car, I agree the flames need to go. How much did it cost for your other one to get painted ? |
Nice car, love how the blower ties in to the factory ram air intake, even if it doesnt matter power wise. Yes, flames and yellow TA door emblems gotta go. Pretty sweet though. |
Thanks, I think I paid about 1200 on top of what the insurance paid because it got keyed. I wanted the whole thing repainted |
man that was a beautiful car you had. love that color. I know the feeling of having a car stolen, same happened with mine.. no fun. Looks like you've got a nice replacement to work on now. look forward to seeing what you do with it. |
How much power is the new car making with the blower? |
badass setup. il throw in 20 bucks so we can at least get a vinyl wrap on that bitch. |
vinyl wrap or a pro plastidip job . |
I'm already buying the stuff I need to make the flames permanently go away. I bought a new set of hvlp guns and I'm picking up the paint and clear next week! |
