damn, that's haulin the mail! |
Uh.....DAMN! :eek2: |
simply...AWESOME |
Here's an idea: ZOOM IN!!!!!!!! |
dam thats fast! |
It looked like he carried the front wheels for about 150'. That damn thing was hauling some major ass! |
What class does this guy race in? I would think a PT-98 would produce more power than that. If he's going to race in the same class Dan does, he won't even make it through the qualifying rounds with those times. BTW...Dan's car runs 7.40's @ 194mph on a little 94mm turbo. ;) |
Not sure what class. I realize Dan's car runs fast. He recently ran a blistering 7.41/187 at the 3rd Annual Ross Pistons PRO Hot Rod & Muscle Car Nationals Super Street Outlaw Race in Cordova, Illinois. It's a good opening run for a 347 with a 750 holley on it, don't you think? I usually don't keep track of the mustangs too much as they are too slow for me. ;) However, the blowthru group has a nice variety of budget minded cars/people going fast. BTW - NMRA only runs 101mm turbos in PRO 5.0. and FFW runs 106mm turbos in thier oulaw class...not sure what Dan runs but I'm thinking it's not a 94mm. |

I "think" I know what he runs too. Don't turn this into a presumptious "i hate Dan" or an assumed "Dan bashing"...it is not! It is merely a post showing the PURE potential of a Carb'ed Blowthru set up...that is ALL it is. I like Dan and I like his car. It took Mustangs a while to catch up to what the Buicks were doing. Buicks were going this FAST years and years ago (10-12). :D |
Calm down man. :eek2: I just said that they were friends and Unit knows alot about his setup. I'll say this Unit doesn't "think" he knows, he DOES know what Dan runs. I should've said that in the first place and been clearer. If you notice the big smiley at the top of my other post you'll see I wasn't bashing you or anyone. I'm not sure how you read so much into my post, it wasn't anything like you thought. :) That blow through setup is cool for sure. |
Yes, I saw the smilies. As stated, this post was merely re-stating, from another post from someone other than me, the potential of a carb. setup. Unit and yourself replied and made posts to "protect Dan" and state that the other car is not as fast as Dan's. Again, I like Dan Millen and his car. Please keep the post on topic. Thanks. |

I will not make anymore post in this thread. If you still don't understand what I was saying you can PM me about it. |
Whoa boys...cool out. NOSJohn, sorry if I came off like I was busting your balls. That wasn't my intention at all. Obviously a 7.80 @ 180mph is insane. I'm not taking anything away from that. I had a conversation with Dan a while ago about EFI vs. Carbs. He told me that a good carb setup is hard to beat so don't take everything you hear to heart. I hear stuff on the internet about "Dan said this" or "Dan said that" and I find almost 100% of it to be false. Sorry if I was a little harsh. Dan is my boy and I see him get beat up on the internet alot by people who know nothing about him (not saying that's you). Just fyi...he is not running in the NMRA this year. He's racing the PRO series and running a 94mm turbo currently. He used to run the 101mm in the NMRA and was trapping 198mph. The 106mm turbo put him to 200mph. Ask Harlan now Dan's car is running. They lined 'em up at a test 'n tune night here recently. |
Exactly, thank you Unit. I didn't want this thread to turn into a negative post, whether it be about Dan saying this or that (which wasn't even posted initially by me), my turbo is bigger than your turbo, or my car is faster than your car type of post. I dislike negativity...I will edit the part regarding "who said what". It came from a 3rd party source so for all we know it's fictitious information. I like Dan and Livernois Motorsports and think they are great for the sport. :D |
