the Skyline is the most overrated car in the world, but th@ generation looks nice, whats with Asian import makers putting V8s in their production cars?? I cant think of a single japanese production car with a V8 th@s out or mayb im not thinking hard enough, but if they come out with a new Skyline or Supra they claim a V8 or bigger, mayb even a TT V8 or bigger.

They're just like everything else, all depends on what is done with them. you can't just look at something and call it a turd because some where someone is polishing it like a ****' and making it into an ungodly vehicle. You may not like it, but hell so what that person has what they like and it's a monster. End of story.
As for what i think about the car:
-I'm glad they're not rebadging the Infinity G36.
-headlights are too big
-The roof has too much curve to it i think, if it were a smoother transition with the roof line more parallel to the car i think it would look better and flow well with the car.
-As stated above, lots of creases. That body kit on the sides of the car would have to be molded in or well...fit better. I.E. The end of it in front of the back-right tire doesn't line up and flow with the fender flare, just kinda sticks out there a bit.
-I'd hope those huge vents to the left and right of the radiator have a whole lot of function to them other than scooping up small animals.
-The wheels need a "thicker" look to them the whole car looks muscular then u have these petite rims, makes them look out of place.
-Steering wheel is on the left side. (Our side) Yes please =)
I like it, but at a close look there's stuff that stands out and doesn't seem like it's meant to be there.
And well engine wise, the previous engine is no slouch.
Type: Inline-6, Twin-turbo
Displacement cu in (cc): 156 (2568)
Power bhp (kW) at RPM: 276(206) / 6800
Torque lb-ft (Nm) at RPM: 216(293) / 4400
Weight lb: 3672
Keep in mind that's a basic stock setup for a 99' R34 GT-R AWD
2005 Nissan NISMO Skyline GT-R Z-tune AWD: (RB 26DETT Modified Z2 engine)
Type: Inline-6, Twin-Turbo
Displacement cu in (cc): 169 (2771)
Power bhp (kW) at RPM: 500(368) / 6800
Torque lb-ft (Nm) at RPM: 399(540) / 5200
Weight lb: 3526
Corvette C6 Z06:
Type: V8
Displacement cu in (cc): 427 (7011)
Power bhp (kW) at RPM: 505(377) / 6300
Torque lb-ft (Nm) at RPM: 470(637) / 4800
Redline at RPM: 7200
Weight lb: 3132
So from the Nismo we got:
5 less hp
71 less lb - ft.
404lbs heavier
That's not bad...considering all you have to do is tune the GT-R and you make up for the weight and torque advantage in a couple hours, and that's light tuning. Not to mention AWD.
Not saying it's better than the Corvette. Just saying that it's not as far down the ladder as everyone thinks. And i know everyone has seen the 1,000+hp monsters on the internet.
Just some examples:
Street legal Veil-Side r34 that does 215mph thanks to "A 1,360hp engine and six-speed sequential transmission provide plenty of power and torque to accelerate the GT-R in the first two kilometers. "
http://www.superstreetonline.com/fea..._gtr_drag_car/ for the article.
7.95 at 181mph. (Not sure what the fastest time for a drag skyline is.)

i'd buy one!
i love the infiniti g35 coupe's and the 350Z but they just do not have enough power to be worth the money
that car is badass though... honestly i would take one of those over a new camaro anyday

It looks great, even if the side skirt seems to be falling off. I think I'll still chase after the new Camaro when it comes out or maybe a Vette, depending on what I can afford. I imagine that will be found somewhere in between as far as price goes. Another thing, it kinda has a Honda look to it.

That thing is UGLY Looks like it had several different designers with different ideas working on it. The front has hints of Ferrari intakes, Subaru and current Nissan. The rear reminds me of the Fiat Coupe from the mid 90s. R33s were the best looking Skylines, but this is like a kit car.
