My races with a New C6Z06
I just wanted to post a few races I had with a buddies new C6 Z06. To be fair the camera guy is in the new Z so he had extra weight. My car is a Z51 C6 1SX, AFR 205 heads, Fast 90, Headers, Cheatr cam, S2 TB, and custom road tune done by Mark Shaner... It was real dark, so you have to use the lights for reference. Sorry about the video quality.... The new Z is fast!!!!!
The first race, the Z misses a gear...

Second race he gets ahead and I pull ahead and brake at the end of 4th... I was slightly ahead....

I agree the videos are not that great and are hard to follow sorry....
You have to blame the camera man... I was just driving...
Not sure what my power is... I dynoed 421 before the Shaner TB, Shaner tune, and the FAST....

as already said, complete horseshit videos. Why do people race at night when they want to make a video just fuggin with ya. But they do suck.
Sounded cool though

Here is my power curve before:
Since this dyno, I've added the Shaner TB, FAST intake, and a "real" tune.
I believe this Z06 was making close to 470rwhp... Tuned my Jim Hall If I'm not mistaken.... He did have the extra weight, so the extra HP from the tune was probably negated by the 200 extra pounds from the camera man...

xstang...I'd love to run against your car. Are you in Dallas? I went basically the same route...different cam grind, but smaller cam for drivability and bottom end torque, and it made within 10hp (with much flatter curve) than a bigger 234/240 cam (actual 30hp difference, but I'm auto 3200 stall and it was a 6spd) (with my heads of course, which are pretty hot).
I stacked my car up against the big cam (on dyno comparison) and I made more hp/tq until about 4300rpm where the climb started to a spike at around 6800rpm (keeping in mind this is auto vs. stick graphs too).

I've got a couple Z06 buddies, but they don't want to race, so I was thinking of seeing how our cars stacked up...auto/vs stick, etc.
Just for grins...nothing sinister, just want to check them out!
I'll email you.
