The supra has to be the most unreliable track car ever built. I seriously think they have about a 50/50 shot of making it off the line without breaking something. When I was at the track last year I saw the same supra break at the line 2 times in a row. I just dont think they were built to hold as much power as people put them through.

I read the comments and the guy broke something in the driveline. This in return set off the airbag sensor and the passenger airbag went off.

Can't say that I ever heard of that happening...Then again, I don't go to the track too often.

The guy is a freakin idiot in the first place.. I wonder if he actually thought that the car was gonna leave off the limiter on those 19" wheels/tires?

That's happened to a few F-bodies also after snapping the driveshaft. There's a vid of atleast one of them. In the F-body case the bag module is attached directly to the tunnel and it obviously get's alittle confused when shocked, might be a similar set up in the Supra.

I've seen way more awd eclipses, evos and wrxs break at the line than a supra... In fact in person I've never seen any break at the line.

You were here how much longer than him...a month?

You guys know that big turbo manual transmission cars have to dump
fuel on the line to build boost right? If you haven't broken something
at the track, you're not making enough power.

Yes...I know. I was referring to how they are tuned to build boost.

Anti-Lag. The turbo is on the pass side of the car. We have seen some supra at work build 35psi of boost on Anit-lag and the down pipe broke off and hit the firwall on the pass side where the air bag is. Good thing this car did not have a airbag in it. The size of the flame came up over the windshield and melted the harness in side the car where the pipe blew off. The Down pipe hit the firewall hard as **** and put a nice dent in there. there are many reason why this car in the Vid broke, but since none of us are there to see it who knows. Then again there are many Gms that break. Hell look at how many times someone puts down 500+hp and still has stock rear. that =
But we still try it...
