How about those HID's.

I just recently bought these HID's and it took me less than a half hour to install them. I can guarentee that I will not go back to regular halogen bulbs ever again. They are night and day difference from the Silverstars that I had in there before. Here are some pics. Let me know what you think :pop:

Yes, I did not plug in my driver side parking lamp in those pics.

After the installation with both sides on.
Once again, these are 8000K.

The lighting/contrast on the road is awesome and it lights up so many more objects.
Definately a good investment:thumbsup:

are the 8K's any less bright than the 4.5K's? What brand kit did you use?

StrobinSS Jan 2, 2007 01:49 PM

If you want a super white HID then go with teh 4300 or 5000 kit...those are the bright white HID's. If you want a slightly blue'ish color to it then get the 6000K. All of those K's are bright. Mine are 8000K which are comparable with the 10000K's in pictures.

my friend has the 4300k kit and they look sweet.

97'RS6-BucketTurd Jan 3, 2007 06:26 AM

how much do these "kits" usually run for? like a 'guesstimate' i was really wanting to put some on my car, I'm almost obsessed with my brights at night....Rather, i really prefer to see what i'm driving towards at 60mph....only makes sense, right? lol

i got the goofy 4 light set up, 2 for lows, 2 for highs.
