I think even if the R1 was going all out after the veyron it would still be having a ahrd time elaving it behind if it could even do that. even then the R1 is gonna start to die off the higher the speed gets and the veyron will just keep on going

The Veyron makes an estimated 800 AWHP using 4 Turbos. Or about 100 AWHP/Liter 
Even at 43xx lb. that is a LOT of get-up-and-go
At speed, that weight becomes negligible. Plus the way the Veyron makes that power and how fast it accelerates is staggering at speeds above 150 mph
If memory serves, the following scenario is fact: "if a McLaren F1 was at WOT and was traveling at 100 mph when it passed a Veyron which simultaneously launched from 0 mph; the Bugatti Veyron would BEAT the McLaren F1 to 200 mph."

i still vote for the porsche. the sound alone gets me going. not to mention, i could have two porsches and 15 R1's for the price of the veyron. or just turbo the R1 and see what happens. that would make it real interesting.

beleive it, top gear tested it or motor trend one did. moving from 120 mph up to 200 and the veyron went from a dead stop and beat it. those turbos kick in fast and kick in hard at full boost, the veyron also has an aerodynamic and awd advantage to get it going

its not Jealousy even if i was shitting money i wouldnt buy that car.
4 turbos and v16 for 1000hp thats just stupid.
and i know i cant compare these cars to Veyron.

we have 3 here where i live i even saw test for one with my own eyes

The time it takes the McLaren F1 to reach 200mph from a WOT speed of 120mph, thanks for the correction Tainted, is GREATER than the time it takes the Veyron to achieve 200mph from a dead stop.
Despite the Veyron's less-than-aerodynamic shape comparative to the F1 (the Veyron's big-*** wing is there to provide down-force and aid EXTREMELY high-speed stability/mobility that the F1 lacks), the Veyron's AWD launch gives it a near FULL SECOND advantage to 60mph Things go rapidly down hill from there for the F1 . . . so to speak
