thats funny b/c I beat my friend with a Mach 1 all the time...yea he jumps on me from the getgo, but after that I pull on him and eventually put 1-2 cars on him. All mine has is exhaust, lid, and tune AND its an A4. His is a M5, tuned, exhaust, and has a K&N.

no man, thats not what Im saying.....thats you putting words in my mouth but w/e.....and if you read the post I said 12 sec STOCK.....and I never said they couldnt run 11's, im sure there are many running quicker than that, but my whole point is Mod for Mod, with equal drivers an LS1 should win, in the vid they both had gears, and tune, plus exhaust but the Mach didnt have headers, so the LS1 had more mods yet he got walked pretty badly.....just didnt look right to me, but dont get so bent out of shape....I like mustangs, I've had 4, Mach 1's are bad *** cars and Im not trying to say anything bad about them, I just think the video isnt telling the whole story

god where are all these hotshot mach 1 guys around me. I have never been beat by a mach 1, EVER. Ive ran them with me stock, bolt on, cam, heads/cam, nitrous,. etc. never have i been beaten. i just dont understand how all these mach 1's in other parts of the country are even staying close to ls1 cars.
"some run 12's stock blah blah, its a drivers race blah blag"
well they sure as **** dont run that around here.

I listened to a guy with a built 5.0 talkin smack just about every day at work about beating LS1 guys on the street. It was after I had sold mine. Then I bought another one with a lid. His stories stopped. I will say I absolutely loved my friends white Mach1. It ran 13.20's stock and drove fantastic. I just wouldn't have the high dollar 32v engine. I like something that's easy enough for me to do work on.

shade-tree mechanics such as myself. You know a car is easy to work
on when I can swap out heads and a cam. I wouldn't even think
of touching my Cobra motor...pretty much have to yank the motor to
work on it. No thanks.

Machs run low to mid 13's (& sometimes high 12's) completely stock, just like '01/'02 LS1's...

Many Mach's have made 285+ rwhp (some have hit 290 - 295) on the dyno completely stock, which equals roughly 335 - 345 crank hp (assuming 15% driveline loss).
Pretty damn close to the LS1's hp, don't you think?
Torque was even more under-rated at 320 ft-lbs - many Mach's have dynoed 305 - 315 rwtq which equals ~ 358 - 370 crank torque.
Add in more aggressive trans & rear gearing and it all adds-up.
