A stock mach is pretty stout. There was a couple bone stock cars in the 12's. A stock LS1 Camaro/Trans Am is pretty even with a mach.

I have raced more than a couple and stock for stock the LS1 will have a pretty big advantage, an M6 02 LS1 vs an M5 02 Mach 1 the LS1 should win by at least 3-4 cars with equal drivers

Yeah, it should've been closer but I'm thinking the "SLP" Camaro is non stalled auto w/ stock 3.23s.

Yeah I usually dont believe people when the list mods of the car they are racing, and then talk all sorts of ****. I mean how the hell do we know if that SS has Ls1 edit program on it? I mean dont get me wrong When my SS was stock I had a few good runs with some Mach 1's but with headers it was game over.

^^^exactly, full exhaust LS1's w/ a tune will put 350 to the wheels, and with the mustangs mods he could not have been too close to that, most likely around 310-315

Idk .... theres a guy around here 04 Azure Blue Mach 1 M5 ..... dynoed 275rwhp/289rwtq stock on the dynojet .... he's has ran a 12.90 in the 1/4 stock. I'll go ahead and say he kills the sh*t outta some ls1's round here .... most of em' can hang very well with him from a kick, some can beat him, unless he sprays, but anyways from a dead stop he whips that @ss for em'. Not tryin to start an arguement with anyone, I'm just saying. I guess his is a freak ...hell Idk ....

Someting isnt right on those races i am willing to bet the mach has way more than that and the camaro is dead stock with 3.23 gears . Plus 12.9 isnt the norm for a mach1 in stock form .

3-4 cars? Not a chance. With equal drivers, maybe half a car.

Well maybe i have just run into bad drivers, but I have driven both cars and from what I could tell LS1's are quite a bit faster in stock form.....at the local 1/8 mile I have seen catback Machs run 8.70s-8.80s, where as my stock A4 3.23 Formula ran 8.50's stock.....2-3 tenths is a couple of cars. I havent taken the Z out there yet though so I dont know what it runs....

I stayed dead even in my 99 SS with just catback and lid with an 04 mach. (Auto SS). Once I put my headers on, ORY, tune--- the mach went about 3-4 cars back. Once I got my cam in... =p lol. The mach's are fun to play with, they sound good while racing em and pull well mid/low range.

Nah! Unit had it about right. I had the opportunity to run a bone stock mach1 in my old Z/28 (lid, catback, 1 passenger to the Mach1 0 passengers) and I was lucky to get a car on him. We had 5 runs (4 good ones) and I won 3 and he got 1 (and then smoked me on 1 because I went with second and should have gone with first). But all 4 of the good runs were about a .5-1 car length difference.

This video looks right to me. There are a few (not many but some) Mach1 guys that are sub 12.5 cars with those mods and an *** load that are high to mid 12's. And that Camaro was probably a high 12 second car. I think if the Camaro was a slightly better driver he would not have gotten pulled so hard, especially in the first two runs, but I still think those two cars with two good drivers the Mach1 is going to put about a car length on that Camaro.

Everyone says that a stock mach is a good race, but last night. I ran one at the track and I ran 13.5 he ran like a 14.1. You think driver mod on his part or what?

I dont think the Mach was lying on the mods, I think the Camaro didn't have as much in it, it didn't look like they knew the guy so I'm saying it was stockish with maybe an exhaust. Could just be driver error of course

A friend of mine had a Mach 1 with CAI, Catback and pullys and he dyno'ed right around 300rwhp. I still have yet to run him but I still think it would be a pretty good race. Those 4 Valves are quick no doubt

The camaro was probably a stock auto, it didn't sound like he even had exhaust when he passed. Not to mention why would an m6 guy get 3.73's and not 4.10's???
