why doesn't the clock stop at the same place it starts? from all the gtr video i have seen, it appears that the clock stops about 5-6 seconds short of where it started. surely this isn't standard timing policy. the Pagani is exotic in looks and sound!

All manufactures do this. This is because right after the turn, there's not enough room to stop after going full throttle. If you notice, the Zonda does the same thing.
