Ya, I ordered a Blue Shiftlight from him ages ago too, but I haven't heard a word from him. I sent at least 15 emails inquiring about it. Harlan, if you do end up seeing this post, can you please email me back about my order too?

For those that see this, tomorrow's shipment will bring me to middle october or so, not counting some mail orders and an odd color.

I'm putting them together as fast as i can.

Its not really any of my bussiness, but it seems to me that 90% of the people that buy from him bitch about how long it takes to get the product. The other 10% just wait for it knowing that
A.Harlan is not going to run off with your money
B. Harlan has a REAL job and only makes these on the side in his very limited spare time
C. It may take a while but the product is worth the wait.

This is all just my own opinion and take it how you like.
But I see the people complaing about the wait, most have a decent amount of posts so im sure they have read simialr posts before and understand that there is going to be a wait. It seems the poor guy is making 100s of products, if you dont want to wait make it your self..

Actually I had no idea. I just saw that he makes good *** shift lights and that was all I wanted to hear...so I ordered one. I didn't see anything about him taking a long time shipping. Not to knock on Harlan (don't even know the guy), but it would be nice to get an email saying something. I have sent 20+ emails, and have not got one back. That's kinda scary conisdering he already has my $$$. I have a real job too, and I ebay TONS of stuff....when someone orders from me I make sure they are updated on the status of their item. That is just good business practice ya know? I had no idea that it would take this long, or else I would have ordered from raptor. On his site it says "All items are a 3 to 4 week lead at this time until the current backlog is cleared. Last Updated on 11/18/03". Keep in mind I ordered mine in October.

After receiving last E-mail from Harlan, three months has passed.
Eight months has passed since I ordered them and paid to him.

There is no response from him at all though I am sending him mail many times.
He wrote in the mail three months ago as follows.

Matt is a good guy, noone has ever been disappointed with the quality, just takes him awhile to get the time to make his stuff, and ship it out. He does it himself, and works fulltime, races fulltime, and builds them to help fund the racing. I agree he takes awhile, but you get what you are waiting for, and it is common knowledge that there is an extended waiting period, but most don't seem to mind when they get his stuff, not taking sides, but simply stating that unless you don't research his product at all, it would be hard not to find that they take a while to get them, ecspecially with race season coming closer and closer. Keep up the good work Matt, and good luck this season, now if we could get a race with all the MI boys running together, i would like to make the trip to see everyone run, that would be sweet. Times ticking away.

Matt is awesome, I ordered a shiftlight from him and it came ASAP, the quality was awesome too. When I order stuff like this that is known to have a lead time, I just forget I ordered it, then it's a suprise! actually, I think I'm going to order a 2-step here shortly.

That is not 100% true, I had an issue with mine that took a while to resolve.
