The subject says that it was an "01 LS1 LS-1 LS6 Intake..." In the description, he claims it is a "stock 01 intake off a Trans Am."
Did any 2001 Trans Ams come stock with an "LS1 intake????" I thought the camshaft revision precluded the need for EGR?

as afar as i know all 01's had the ls6 intake. I don't think that one does (hard to tell from pic) so i think you got a really good deal since it came with some nice injectors too.
EDIT: i see the brass screw deal on the side, that might worry me though. If i had my car i would check it out and see if mine had that brass deal but i don't...

I have the intake in front of me. It definitely has a provision for the EGR. I sent him an email telling him that his description was incorrect and I'd like to return it for a refund. Should I dispute this with PayPal immediately?

Yeah, looks like an LS1 intake, not an LS6. I think he screwed you... 
This is why I don't EVER buy things from people on eBay that don't have at least a 25 rating or higher... you just never can tell who's a thief and who isn't, so the best way to avoid most of them is only bid on items from sellers that have a good history.
I hope the guy refunds your money!

The bottom has a hump in it. I'm assuming that means it's an LS1 intake?
Like I said, I can see right through the top/front of the intake where the EGR tube goes on 98-00.

For me to dispute this with PayPal (assuming he isn't cooperative), I need to prove that his advertisement was incorrect. Is there any way I can prove that 2001 Trans Ams came with the LS6 intake?

you didnt read in the forum when someone else asked if that was really a ls6 intake. Everyone in here let him know that the guy was lieing and it was infact an ls1 intake.
