Buyer Beware - Do not buy from Hugger SS
Long story short
he advertised a new vortech supercharger kit with an aftercooler for an ls1 as new in the box. this was a satin kit. shipping was included. he recommended that I go get it polished from one of his friends who supposedly does good work. He charged me an extra 150 dollars for this. I sent him money next day. I see he cashed it right away...
I got pics before my transaction and what I saw in the pics and what I received were two different things.
I had this shipped directly to my shop so they could get started on my car right away upon receiving. The shop is Norris Motorsports in Ocoee, Fl. Mike is pretty reputable in the Florida area and is talked of very highly.
Now,The parts in the pics looked very shiny, the parts I got were pitted VERY VERY badly. Its like they didn't even try to polish it right. That is #1
#2 I specified that I receive this by a certain date which the seller assured me it would, it came a day and a half late.
The reason I needed it by a certain date was that my car was scheduled to go into the shop to have the blower installed. I communicated to the seller at least 5 times thru voice mail, live on the phone, email and thru aol im that I wanting and needing this kit by no later than wednesday cause that was when my car was going to be in the shop.
I asked the seller repeatedly for a tracking number after he sent it out and he didn't respond to me to almost 3 days later, this was making me uneasy and giving me a sick ill feeling to my stomach like I've just been taken.
#3 The items were not packed correctly and the box was nearly falling apart when received. The elbows, blower, and aftercooler were deeply gouged from rubbing against each other during shipping. The aftercooler had two large quarter size dents that looked like someone took a hammer to it.
#4 upon inspection of contents found out that spring tensioner was missing, belt was missing, the hand held programmer coupon was missing, various clamps, the rotabroaches and various npt fittings were no where to be found.
#5 when Norris received the box and opened what was inside they called me right away and snapped pics using a customers digital camera there to show what they saw when they opened the box in front of the ups driver.
When I asked the seller what was going on, he was full blown denying everything I was seeing. The kit was not complete and was BADLY damaged and the polishing was absolutely fucken atrocious. (pardon my french)
#6 I later found out that the seller had someone else ship the supercharger out so that may be part of the problem some items were missing and were packed unsatisfactorily.
THe seller swore up and down he packed it right and it couldn't have been his fault and that he had no idea where the missing parts were. He did admit to having the hand held programmer coupon.
He then accused Norris Motorsports of sabotaging my supercharger which is untrue and Mike Norris is willing to contact his lawyer and sue for slander if this guy says this out loud.
# 7 I then get Pro Stock John involved to help me in my matter. I was not getting any response from the seller and John knew this was a bad deal. If it weren't for him I wouldn't have gotten anywhere. (thanks john)
With PSJ's help he had the seller file a claim with UPS. After this supposed claim was filed I never heard back from the seller. I frequently asked him the status and he kept blowing me off by saying when I hear something I'll let you know..
I asked for a claim number and his reply was that it was under his personal information and he could not give me that information..(Do you read between the lines here? Does he really thinking I am a dumbass? )
Another 3 weeks goes by with no response, he keeps saying the same thing and that he is STILL willing to help out.
What I had to do is spend an ADDITIONAL $265.00 to get these parts polished right and even still the aftercooler is still dented. I'm still missing parts. He keeps claiming he'll mail me the parts and yet I still haven't received them. He keeps claiming that I haven't given him my address but I've given it to him at least 3 times already.
I cannot and will not spend any more time on this *******.
Just be warned, this seller was a giant ******* and truly MISREPRESENTED what he was selling.

The kit was brand new in the box and unopened until you requested I open it and take pics for you...The same Serial # on the blower pics is the same one you recieved. You said you wanted it polished and I told you I had some people that could get it done for 150...You asked...I didnt recomend it.

The kit was polished nicely..Yes it did have some pitting, but anyone who knows anything about polishing, knows that a "cast" piece will have some pitts

In the price that we agreed...I said I would have it second day aired. I was not about to pay almost 300$ for next day shipping on it. I also told you that it all depended on when they were done polishing the kit. I go out of town alot and you knew this and thats why a tracking # wasnt given to you. You recieved the kiy firdt thing in the morning on thursday instead of the wednesday afternoon...Seems more to me like a half day late

The items were packed 100% the same way they come from Vortech...In the paper wrapper and bubble wrap. I dont know how else I could have packed it better. I insure all packages I send out just in case something like this were to happen. I did my part as the seller

There is noway in gods green earth that the tensioner was missing. It was bolted on the bracket. The belt is in the pic I sent you of it being packed and I did forget to send the programmer coupon. As for the fittings...I offered to send you 50 bucks for them to replace them and give you 20 bucks on top of that for your gas. You wanted me to send you 400 and I laughed...

You told me you would send me the pics immediately...you didnt get them for another week and a half. You also said the UPS man was standing in the background while they opened the package which he is also no where to be found in them. I really dont know of too many people that have cameras ready to take pics and demand the driver stand there to watch immediately after arrival

Yes I did deny it...I know what I packed

YOU accused the shop I had send it out of removong pieces and what have you...All I said was " Just as easily that my shop could have done it...So could have Norris'" Like I told you before...Is norris this much of a tool that he feels the need to sue because I made a comment like this? Seems like he is one of those who walks around grocery stores looking for something spilled so he can fall and sue also...GIVE ME A BREAK. If he want to sue me...so be it ..Have him PM me and Ill have him in contact with my att.

It didnt take PSJs help to file the claim..I told I would get it done that day which it was Yo usent me emails asking the status of the claim and I have copies of the emails sent back to you letting you know what was going on. When you file a claim through UPS the use personal info to file the claim...like DL# and SSN which are none of your business

If anyone can host the pics of these please let me know...I have quite a few of the before and after.

Jeff:
I talked to Derrick on the phone yesterday.
Here is where it all stands.
1) He will send you the coupon that you send in for the tuner, and a belt.
2) Since UPS has denied the claim he is willing to take the aftercooler tank from you, get it fixed and send it back to you.
3) He is unwilling to send you an idler since he says he sent that in the package.
As far as I am concerned he is offering to help fix the tank and I think that is fair.

all I can say BLING BLING! Look great man, I'll recommend them. I'd like to have
my condenser polished too. Other than that I want to get my pulleys and hood
hinges and latch chromed and get a chrome water pump. When this engine bay is
finished it will look sick.
If you can get me tracking number that would be cool this way I can let the shop
know its coming.
Thanks,
Jeff

And here is jeff refusing to send me back the parts to get repolished and make things right. He aslo says he knows its not my fault that they were damaged during shipping, yet now it is in his posts? Sounds like someone has a few different personalities

I refused to get the elbows redone because if they weren't done right the
first time what makes you think they would do it right the second time
around. Add in the extra time and the strong possibility of it getting
damaged again and its just not worth the effort.
The parts were damaged and you did your part with UPS. The parts that
weren't there to begin with are your responsibility. You even admitted to
already not including the belt and the programmer coupon. Those are what are
supposed to come with the "100% complete kit" and are part of what I paid
for.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
And by the way...I never admitted to not send the belt...it was also in the box and have pics of it also. Only thing I admitted to not sending was the coupon.
I did everything I could to help him as its my responsibility as the seller...

LOL the parts were so bad, leaning them on the ground for 2 seconds while taking a picture wouldn't make them any worse. The only thing that could make them worse is if they got run over by an 18 wheeler or dragged behind a car for a few miles..

The charger from the picture didn't look bad. The plumbing would be a little harder to get the shine. I feel if you want the stuff to glow get it chromed. I used to ride crotch rockets and I have plenty experience polishing frames, wheels, and many parts on a bike, it will not come out with the glow chrome does. I'm not taking sides, but I think there will not be a resolution as long as there are negative things said, instead of a solution being talked about.

I tried making this right many times with Jeff.
1. I know the belt was in the box and I bought him another.
2. I offered him 50 for the misc fittings and 20 for his gas to get them.
3. I offered for him to resend me the stuff and I would get it repolished better and he refused.
4. I offered for him to send me back the aftercooler and I would pay to get it fixed out of my own pocket at www.proturbokits.com even before we had an answer from the UPS claim.
5.PSJ gave Jeff some info for a contact he had at Vortech to get a new tensioner pulley. Jeff to my knowledge still hasnt called and if he has, it has been in the past week. He didnt contact the guy at vortech for at least 3 weeks after the transaction.
6. I will get some pics of everything posted up with a GOOD camera and people can see how everything looks, not with some whack camera trying to make the parts look worse than they are...All of the polish job looked great. When you put a camera all the way on it, of course you will see inperfections
The whole point of this is that I tried making everything right with him out of my own pocket even before the UPS claim was filed. I could have just told him"sorry, not my problem" "gonna have to wait to see what UPS says" , but I didnt.

Well....I just got a PM from a guy on here telling me he thinks he knows whats going on here. The guy is selling a turbo kit and thats what Jeff really wanted. Jeff asked him to hold to see if he could get his money back on a supercharger kit that he had bought, but has not recieved....Sounds like your getting made to look more and more stupid.....I will not play your games. All you have done is sit here in this thread and call me names and in other threads. This is my statement to you...If you have a lagit problem with me...then come make your post and act like an adult and not the 17 yr old that you are...People might actually take you more serious

I can definately see where he is coming from. I would be upset too. But how is my fault that parts were damaged during shipping? Im pissed off that there are parts "suppossedly" missing that I know for a fact that were put in there. He is posting everywhere badmouthing me...other threads and in his sig. He really needs to grow up...He was given the chance to get it all taken care of and DECLINED
HOW DOES THAT MAKE ME A BAD SELLER?

He kept asking for his money back before he had even seen the kit. That is why this whole thing is fishy
