Default 2000 LS1 for $1100?

This is a complete engine minus the ECM and 50-60k on it. Runs great, is it worth it? How would I get a ECM for it? Dealer? What specs would it come with? 320Hp, LS6 intake, etc?

Thanks

Kind of high price. You can get ECM for a 2000 out a wrecked car or junk yard ,E-bay or off this Forum. HP around 330 @ the crank. No LS-6 intake unless they changed it.

A Grand sound like a decent price to me. Considering a complete pull out with the PCM and a trans. is around 3500 Bucks.

I work at a salvage yard and your best bet is to purchase an PCM from your local salvage yard. Shouldn't be more than $70. If your LS1 is out of a 2000 it does not have the ls6 intake, only the 2001 and 2002 had the ls6 intake unless it was changed from the previous owner. I know that i once sold a used ls1 for $1700 with 70k from the salvage yard. But i think 1100 sounds pretty fair but you can find ones for less out there.

OK now that I have this motor, what mods should or do I need to make roughly 400-450HP to drive around town. I know later I will intake and carb this motor.

I heard LS2 timing chain, HV ported oil pump, 243 Heads, LS6 intake?
