Default Exhaust?

I'm looking for the best bang for my buck for my 02 Bird. I've already decided on getting the Pasesetter LT's and Y pipe. I just need some suggestions on where to go from there. Should I just have the exhaust place do a custom or what?

Check out the hooker cat back, It's one of the best flowing CB and it pretty cheap. I have one and love the sound.

I would go w/ a Magna Flow or a GMMG if you don't mind spending the money.

BBK headers and Y = 379, shipped
MagnaFlow CB = 320, shipped

You can't beat that for brand new parts.

Definitely do duals of some type. An X or H pipe dual setup will outflow any y-pipe setup. I love my bassani duals. They cost more but the sound is amazing.

I don't want anything that hangs real low, because I live in an area with some ruff roads.

mufflex 3.5" system.

enough flow for all but the nastiest engines...and basically stock clearance.

A true dual settup would be awesome.

Consider a used one and look around in the for sale section.

Either a bullet or a magnaflow muffler dumped right off the y-pipe.
Made more power over a catback and a cutout on my car.

Plus it costs about $40 for the bullet or $90 for the magnaflow and $20 for a guy to weld it up.

Decently cheap exhaust setup that makes power.

What do you guys think about the MAC/Flowpath headers and Y-pipe? They seem decently priced and come with the O2 extentions and everything you need. I liked them on my Stang but I have not seen anyone talk about them here.

Where in Missouri are you? If your anywhere near central (Rolla), I know a guy that can fab you an Awesome true dual exhaust, over the axle for a great price. And if you go with 2 1/2" instead of 3" exhaust, with no cats, you'll have more clearance than stock and a great muscle car sound.

PM me if you want his contact info.

Scott
